If we are really considering spending a 4th to obtain a backup QB we really are screwed. That is a complete waste of a 4th round pick for a contending team, for a rebuilding team that's crazy talk is what that is.

As for Foles he is obviously a product of the system, put him in DC and you have, well, Ryan Fitzptrick. And he is the best example we can come up with, by far the majority of 4th round QBs never make it.

whaaaaaaaaaat !?! foles is a system qb ? hell he isnt a fit for the one he runs are you daft ?

now he might be "ryan fitzpatrick " or he could be alex smith

again it isnt like we dont need 3 qbs in the first place

and again if we dont take a qb then no big deal to me but if he is the BPA then we should take one

qb isnt a priority to me at all in this draft . to me you may find a BU guy but this team has been last 7 of 8 years and they arent that way because they are oozing with talent

fact is none of the qbs performed well

now i get that franchise qbs can get by with less on the o/line because they take less time in the pocket but for the most part you cant count on finding a franchise qb .

we should focus on the LOS 1st and foremost but i wont slice my wrists if we take a qb in the mid to late rounds

Draft the best available player in the later rounds, we have alot of holes to fill, QB not being one of them.

Names like Brady, Brees, Romo and Wilson suggest you can find a QB later in the draft or even sometimes not drafted. Sure most QBs are first round picks but not all of those QBs selected in the 1st round are good QBs.

What I meant was Foles benefited by playing in Chip's offense, the same offense that made Mark Sanchez actually look like a good NFL QB for a while. Foles on the Redskins would have sucked.

While I agree we need a new QB I'm not sure the draft is the place to find one with so many needs. Like you I think Cousins deserves another shot but I just don't see it happening here. I still say he goes to Cleveland for a late round pick, Griffin and Colt return, and they sign a QB from another team.

Orton, Hoyer, Fitzpatrick, etc. There are more non 1st-2nd rounders than I thought, but the vast majority of them are scrubs.

Anyone not named Wilson, Romo, Brady or Foles has been drafted in the first two rounds. A great deal of them in the Top 10.

So while I agree, you don't necessarily have to draft a starting QB in the first couple rounds, the odds of you hitting on anyone outside of those are very very low. I don't think we should take a late round QB in this draft unless we move a couple of ours. We already have at least 2 serviceable backups on the team, probably 3. Why do want someone else to hold a clipboard?? You might at least get a decent backup and special teamer if you go with another pick in the 4th-5th.

While in theory I agree that we have a handful of serviceable backups already on the team, in reality we don't (or won't for long). Colt is not under contract. I'm not convinced they will resign him for the very reasons you state. Why not get a rookie to replace him at less cost and potentially more upside (we know what Colt can do)? Also, both RG3 and KC's contracts expire this year. SO one, or both, are gone after this season. Getting a young QB in here this year to learn the offense while holding a clipboard makes some sense. Having said this, don't draft one unless somebody falls to you and the value just is too compelling. If you don't find somebody you love at the right draft slot, there will be undrafted QBs and FAs available after the draft to fill in as subs.

i like garret grayson as well but i am not sure he will be there in round 4-5

also i think the skins need to take another good look at KC . he moved the offense well and if he can cut down on the turnovers he could be what this team needs there

i cant see Rg3 turning this around in one year with as much stuff he needs to work on . i think he will fail

What do you know about this kid dad?
