I say we should take a QB in round 3-4. Take a O-lineman in 1st, take BPA in 2nd, in 3rd take BPA, then take Shane Carden in 4th.

I would like to see us take a OT, DT, S, QB, DE, CB, LB in the draft.

Shane Carden, QB, East Carolina
Height: 6-2. Weight: 221.
Projected 40 Time: 4.74.
Projected Round (2015): 3-5

I never heard of him. I do believe we will take a QB at some point in the draft, however.

Carden is pretty good. Carved VT up in the 1st half. Has good (not elite) arm strength, good touch, multi year starter, good vision and feel. He has a shot at being pretty good. I think he should be a serviceable backup at least.

I would take a flyer on him 4th-5th or later. Too many holes to be drafting a QB in the 3rd for sure, really 4th IMO.

i like garret grayson as well but i am not sure he will be there in round 4-5

also i think the skins need to take another good look at KC . he moved the offense well and if he can cut down on the turnovers he could be what this team needs there

i cant see Rg3 turning this around in one year with as much stuff he needs to work on . i think he will fail

If smith is made the GM, I bet RG3 is traded.

For the record I don't want us taking a QB in the 1st-3 rounds unless McCoy is traded then our need for a QB intensifies immensely. We can't rely on RG3 playing a full 16 game season with his injury record. I really want us to build up a nasty O-Line so even Heath Schuler could exceed in.

McCoy is a free agent

So in that case, do we draft a QB high in the draft??

It has been reported that Smith doesn't like any of our current QBs. That doesn't mean he likes any of the top rated ones in the draft, either. But I won't be surprised if a 2nd tier QB (that fits Gruden's offense) falls into the 3rd or 4th round, we take him.

I say try to fix everything else as best you can. We are not a quarterback away so might as well build up everything else and see what RG3 gives you. He's under contract and Snyder has made it pretty clear though Allen that he's going to be here next year. Sonny went as far as to say he will be the starter next year, and Sonny is as close to Dan as anyone. So let's fix the lines and the secondary and give the investment one more year. That's what I would do anyway.

Not that Im against a move to trade Griffin. But I dont think we would get much in return, and I think that would be a hard sell to the owner and fan base. There is still a good portion of the fan base that believes in Bob after all.

Concerning the owner, you may be right. But living here in the DC area, I can tell you the fan base has soured on RG3 and are ready for this experiment to be over. Heck, if Dad gave up on him, then everyone has.
