With a win tonight, I believe the Wings can take over the #1 Atlantic Division spot! Toronto's coming off of an embarrassing loss last night against the stinkin cats (gave up 4 in the 3rd). They'll be hungry tonight & probably too much for the Lightning.

Lately, the simplest of skills have avoided the Wings players - missing simple passes, moving the puck blindly to anywhere, the backend guys pinching in too far then giving up odd-man opportunities to opposing players, and the continued inability to get the puck out of our end in short order. The wingers are playing their coverage so far to the middle of the ice that when the puck transitions, by the time they get to the area of the boards to create an option for a first pass, the defender covering cuts off the passing lane. Also, several of the Wings players are just holding the puck too long to create any kind of pass or shot. Minimizing the time increases the opportunity, but delays can cause much havoc.
