Gave up on the run to early. 3rd and 1 run the damn ball.

Giving up on the run is the only way we got back into the game. I do agree we should've ran it there on 3rd and 1 but if we kept our run heavy offense like we did in the 1st half the game wouldn't have even been close.

We were starting to come back by passing it but we got too cute and conservative at the end.

Bad weather means run the damn ball. If you can't do that no playoff wins. Just saying.

I would love to get another shot at the Bengals in the playoffs. I think we would kick their asses the next time. They are a good team and they deserve credit, but I don't think they would beat us again.

I'm assuming we won't pull off the miracle here.

Manning made some ill-advised passes tonight, as well as some just plain poor throws.

Well, gang, I guess that'll do it. That little bitch (#27, still don't know his name, but that was a total bitch move on his part the way he begged for that face mask penalty) sealed it with 2 picks. But rest assured: The Broncos are by far the better team of these two. And if this Bengals team, which is pretty darn good, meets with the Broncos in the playoffs, it'll spell the end of their season.

I think some Cinci fans have shot guns at the game. Plenty of Manning ducks.

If we started off the game like we started the 3rd quarter we may have won the game, I hope this is a wake up call to the coaches to at the very least run the ball less. I'm not saying go 90-10 in favor is passing but certaintly not 30-70 like we have been.

Oh and Del Rio is back on my shit list. No sacks, little pressure, and I don't recall seeing 1 blitz all game. I thought he learned something these past few weeks. guess not.

With that kind of split Manning will be throwing more interceptions and be on his ass even more. Run the damn ball in crappy weather especially on 3rd and 1. Go into New England with that split Denver gets crushed again. You seriously have no clue. Bengals were balanced and so they won the game. It's not rocket science but for some people it may be. Have a great night. Just saying.

We scored 0 Offensive points and only managed about 100 yards in the first half using that run heavy approach, we tried, it failed, we went to what we know works how is that hard to understand?

Also when we started opening up the Offense we were actually up 28-27 but then guess what happened, we went back to being too conservative and running the ball ineffectively which allowed Cincinnati to take the lead and we couldn't recover because the Offense was back to playing like it did in the first half.

The Broncos are 11-4 with a very likely chance at going 12-4 with the Raiders coming to town next. I'll take it. This slate was obscene, and to be 11-4 at this point is damn good. I'd love the Broncos to get another crack at the Bengals in the playoffs. There is no question in my mind they'd beat them in Denver.

With that said, a tip of my cap to the Bengals for a well-played and complete team effort. They did beat us fair and square. I maintain #27 (I refuse to learn his name) is a little bitch, or maybe is in the wrong line of work and should be in Hollywood, but even in the interest of fairness to him, he did come up with two picks that sealed the win. Hill is a pretty good running back, and the Broncos corralled him very effectively, save the 85 yard run. Those happen once in a while, and you can't take them back. But even with the 85 yard run, Hill averaged 6.7 yards, which means less than 3 yards per carry on all other runs. Pretty good if you ask me.

Still, overall when you give up 37 points it's a complete failure.

Offensively, I think we'll be just fine. Like I said earlier, this is a late season stinker and it's better to get it out of our system now. It's time to renew focus against the Raiders, earn a bye, get healthy, then get down to business.

Go Broncos!

The Broncos also won 4 straight against playoff contenders using that approach. How is that hard to understand? 4-0 against playoff contenders. Does that mean nothing to you?

Haha, yeah those ducks needed to be shot. I will say this though, it's hard as hell to throw a wet football. I don't know how they do it.

I thought we lost the first-round bye tonight. I'm glad to realize that we can still get a week off with a win at home against the Raiders next week.

Yup. In the grand scheme of things, the Broncos were likely not going to climb into that #1 seed anyway. Does anyone believe the Bills would have beat the Pats if the Pats were trying to win? I don't. So 12-4 and #2 is just as good as 13-3 and #2. But the Broncos need to get that final win at home against the Raiders. You know they'd love to ruin that for us.

See that right there is the problem, you see 4-0 and just overlook that it actually didn't work as well as you thought. We couldn't score in the redzone, we couldn't sustain a drive, we couldn't stop from going 3 and out and was bailed out time and time again by the defense. Now sure that's enough to beat Buffalo or Kansas City but it wont be enough to beat New England or hell even Seattle or Green Bay if we make it that far.

And what good does going 4-0 against playoff contenders do is when we're sitting at home watching the SB because we foolishly convinced ourselves that we needed to be more balanced and that what got us to the SB last year needed to change. Sure we didn't win but at least we made it which is more than I can say for this year if we keep up this balanced offense crap.

This is as far as I got. 4-0 is 4-0 is 4-0. If you want to see style points, I recommend you become a fan of college football.

NOTE: This is not the same as ignoring flaws on the team. I see flaws too. But I also see a team overcoming some flaws to go on a 4-0 run. It ended tonight, but why not give the Bengals some credit? This is a 10-4-1 team now. They are so for a reason.

Exactly. Tonight's game really didn't mean much. The Pats aren't losing to the Bills next week, so the Broncos are pretty much locked into the #2 seed. All we have to do is avoid being upset by the Raiders. NO WAY will we blow it. But tonight the Bengals needed the game a lot more than we did, and you could tell by how they played. The more motivated team won. No big deal for Denver.

We need to tune up against the Raiders, especially on offense. Most importantly, we need that bye week, but we also need to get things clicking on offense so the team has confidence going into the playoffs. We could really use a game where all 3 phases are playing well. Tonight we had 1 phase play well (for the most part). We can't go into the playoffs playing our last 2 games poorly. Time for Raider week.

Nice of you to cut out the part of my post that have no argument for.

And hey once they change the goal in the NFL to going 4-0 against playoff contenders I'll be sure to congratulate us but until then and the prize is still the SB regular season win-loss records mean shit.

And if we continue this Offensive scheme and get bounced from the playoffs becasuse we switched to a style that screwed our season I can always tell myself "hey at least we went 4-0 against playoff contenders".
