I hope everyone is ready, because I may be a broken record with it. Traevon Jackson is the most frustrating player. He can have a big game like he did against Duke, and essentially help keep the Badgers in the game, and then he can have crappy performances like he did at the Battle 4 Atlantis. Credit to Bo for even being able to turn him into a point guard, but I can't wait for Bronson Koenig to full time run the team next year.

I really don't see Keonig as a playmaker like Traevon. He is much more of a subdued, no-turnover type of player. It's not a matter of skill (which is about the same) as much as it is a matter of style. And for me personally, I'd rather have Traevon. I think that any team which will allow a methodical point guard to tear them apart was gonna get crushed by this team anyways.

The types of games where we need the point guard to save us are the games where teams are doubling Frank and are long enough to still contain Dekker and Hayes. In those games, Trae is capable of driving to the hoop and making plays. So far, Bronson isn't. I do like Bronson over Trae against pure bruisers (like GTown), but other than that, I think the push for Wisconsin natives to bench Trae is premature.

I'm glad they both are here. It was bound to be a dropoff after Jordan Taylor, but the combination of the two has all the skills Jordan did. If Dekker can ever get healthy and if the non-Gasser and Frank players can pick up their defense, this team is going to be insanely good. Anything less than 15-3 in the B1G would be a colossal disappointment.

Illinois hanging with Nova, more or less (getting hammered on the boards though). Cats 33 ... Illini 27, at the break.

I'm glad Trae was here when Josh Gasser got injured and George Marshall wasn't ready for big time minutes. And admittedly I maybe don't appreciate Trae as much as I will when he graduates. I'll give Trae this, he's gotten progressively better which is so much on the coaching of Bo Ryan.

Dekker will be benefit from the Finals break and can hopefully get that ankle healthy. I agree, 15 wins in conference should be the benchmark.

Illinois is a good looking team.

They can score from a lot of different positions on the floor and they move the ball well.

We have so many guards yet suddenly you put the only one that can't drobble out on the floor by himself. I mean what the fuck?

Showed some fight at the end of the half. Can't handle Louisville's center but otherwise I can't complain too much. We calm the fuck down and we can make a game of this. Encouraging first half against the #4 team and our first game away from home.

Lville - a super athletic team that moves the ball well, but doesn't shoot well. That said, Indiana's missed free throws are going to come back to haunt them.

You guys are fine no matter what the outcome. A lot of young guys out there who are looking pretty good and getting some good experience.

Great dunk over side-show-bob!!!
