Game Thread: Penguins GDT/GNT's week 6 (Nov 10 - Nov 16)

Pens are riding high on a 7 game win streak, the longest current streak in the NHL. This week we've got,
Tuesday Nov 11th @ New York Rangers
Friday Nov 14th @ Toronto Maple Leafs
Saturday Nov 15th vs New York Rangers

Rangers are the team that knocked us out of the playoffs last season, and we owe them some payback. They'll be without Dan Boyle and Ryan McDonagh, so hopefully we could take advantage of that.

Phil Kessel is tearing it up for the Maple Leafs so far who are playing a lot better than they did when they played us. Also will they put in Bernier or Reimer? They'll keep us on our toes.

Hopefully the Pens can extend the streak to 10

Doob's take: Pens are flying high with a 7 game win streak while the Rangers are slumping some. Still tho, Rangers are the defending Eastern Conference champs and they're the team that knocked us out of the playoffs last season so they deserve our respect. Rangers are having some injury issues, most notably to Ryan McDonagh, their star dman. Hopefully the Pens take advantage of this to get some good scoring chances. Doob picks the Pens to win 4-2.

Yeah the Rangers and defense this season don't go hand in hand. I also forgot this season they can sport a bottom six with a lot of ex-Penguins.

i would expect them to beat the rangers there hurting right now I can't wait for the lightning and penguins to play. I'm interested to see if my young bolts are ready to truly contend.

Well this was a great night to miss the game. Something came up and as soon as I got back it was 5-0!

Side note: WTF is happening in NY tonight. Did both teams get some of the good stuff Aroid has been using?

NY has out-skated them since puck drop. Not much else to say. Rags outworked them all night.

IDK about the rest of you but I can't think of a single positive to come out of this game. Best to forget about it completely and focus on the Maple Leafs. Hopefully the Bruins soften them up for us.
