We all know that this is a short week for our favorite team but it also marks the end of a quarter of the season. To be sure there are many obstacles for them to overcome and for us to consider as we go forward with this week's predictions. That said, for the first time this season I'm going with the home squad. Despite the injuries, there were many positives from Sunday's game that are encouraging among them are good run defense, increased confidence in the offensive, and an unfortunate injury that ironically has upgraded the cornerback position.

This week I see it playing out to a final of Washington 28 - Giants 23......now it's your turn......good luck!

Well, last week I had us winning or losing 30-27 on a game ending FG. Didn't quite turn out that way but was very close so this week...

I'm very disappointed Orakpo was a "no show" last week. We also let Foles stroll around in the pocket with relative ease. I know, the game plan was to slow McCoy & Sproles which we did but we let Maclin & Mathews kill us. Our secondary is VERY suspect so Eli will give us problems all night however, they don't have McCoy & Sproles so our defensive approach will be different Thur night. We will blitz, blitz, blitz...

Redskins - 31
Giants - 27

........And this is the issue with this team, trying to figure out what its' identity is, then being predictive based on something other than intuition.

20-16 Skins.
Alfred Morris.

Amazing event.
RG3 issues a challenge to some old time Redskins to run a 50 yard sprint to show that he is rehabbing just fine.
I believe Danny Buggs, Ricky Thompson, and Jean Fugett are forced to put on running shoes to take part in the challenge.

Skins win a close one in fourth quarter comeback style as KC takes a step forward in his maturation process.

My comment was in response to this poster, it was his position that Rak was a "no show" not mine. Now if you want me to defend my position that we do not have a clear identity with respects to this team I will gladly do that.

Giants by three, Kirk throws for 350 and 2TD 1 pick.

Defense looks good for 3.5 quarters.

Special teams finds a way to give away at least 14 points.

And Meriweather wiffs on more tackles than any one in the history of a single game.

Final NY 28 Skins 24

350 and 2TD's is rather solid and on pace with what he has done I would think.

On your one point about Meriweather......now I'm gonna look for sideline shots of him with his helmet off just to make sure it's not Rambo in disguise!

KC carries the load because RBs struggle on short weeks. 320 yards passing and 3 TDs.

Here is my thought and why I posted this...

With Rak in a contract year and making $11M this season, I would expect him to make more of an impact than anyone on our defense. Rak certainly wasn't Kerrigan the week before either.

Yes, I understand both Rak and Kerrigan feed off each other and the pressure Baker, Jenkins & Hatcher bring up the middle. I also understand the game plan last week likely dictated assignments that focused on McCoy and Sproles that would have dictated rush/cover assignments.

Having said that, I expect more from Rak than what we are getting.

You're missing the point. Rak claims he's elite. He wants an elite money contract. Elite players make impact plays. Name the last impact play Rak has had? The last one I can remember was an INT for a TD last year. If I remember correctly, it was a tipped pass so it was more of being in the right place at the right time that making a play. Many make excuses for RAK. He's double teamed. He drops in coverage too much. Whatever. The bottom line is elite ROLBs make impact, game changing plays. Rak doesn't really do that. He goes dark for too long of a period during games, especially in the 4th Qtr when we need a stop or a turnover. He is a very good player, but he has got to step up his game to be in the elite category.
