I think AP is done for the year. This seems worse to me than what Rice (and a few others) did. A helpless 4 year old kid! Fuck...

The NFL is having a nightmare week and it seems likely they will make (yet another) example of Peterson. The public outcry will be intense. Many haven't seen the pictures or heard the story yet. That will change in this news cycle.

using a switch, or a belt, or a fly swatter handle, or a wooden spoon (all things I've been disciplined with. . Not to mention a 2x4), and going overboard with them, are 2 entirely different things. If my kid using one of those on my future grandchildren eventually keeps them from making a horrible decision down the road. . You bet I'm okay with it. Never want to see a child abused, yet I also fear for the future of our society where it's painfully obvious people weren't beat often enough.

Exactly. AP has been fully cooperative...that's not something an abusive father does. Again yes he went too far but discipline was still his goal not abuse.

When the stories first came out there was question as to whether the kid was fl4 or 11. There was question as to whether it was just a normal spanking on the butt or something much worse. I was reserving judgment. I am not anymore.

Let's just say that the kid's story does not match up with AP's.

Not sure which side is true, but because AP was cordial with police and admitted to some of the things he did does not mean he cooperated fully.
