Again nobody is claiming he played a great game. And I have no doubts he is missing reads, that kind of happens with young QBs. But let's not pretend Griffin is the only QB to miss an open receiver, they showed Romo do it on Sunday as well. However this is clearly one of the things he needs to improve on.

But you are acting as if he just posted a Tony Banks line of 9-23-125 with 2 picks. Stop already. Why can't you accept the assessment above, he didn't lose it but didn't do enough to win it either.

Why can't you make your own conclusion, rather than accepting what was written above?

I go of line for a full day and come back and its same shit, different day. How about everyone come to an understanding that there are differing opinions and nothing anyone says is going to change the minds of those that disagree?

If not, then you are wrong and I am right:suds:

Um...I've been pretty vocal all week with my conclusions on Griff and how he played. It happens to match what the other poster said. You on the other hand have concluded that it was a Tony Banks like performance so I gotta question your ability to draw your own conclusions.

Who let the voice of reason in the room?

It's a message board, it's what we do. And if Griff throws for 334 and 2 TDs nest week there isn't a chance in Hell I won't be here enjoying it. :pound:

I never brought up Tony Banks who never had the problem of dinking when he should have bombed. I did bring up Jason Campbell.

Just going to point out... NIck Foles put up 300+ and 2 TDs on the Jags defense on the road. If Griffin is as good as advertised, he should put up atleast 400 yards and 3 TDs at home wouldnt you think??

It is unfair to compare Foles' offense to any in the league because of sheer volume of plays ran.

The reason the run more plays is because they are successful with the plays they run. They are not successful because they run more play, as if the just decided to run more plays than anyone else.

oh boy , how about we just try to get a win and stop with 400 yds 3 td game standards

did Rg3 look like he was going to go for 400 yds last week ? he isnt going to do that the way he is being used and the skill level in which he is running this offense

the eagles philosophy is easy to see run up tempo all game long and hope you wear the defense out by the end of the game

it worked vs jax and it has destroyed us twice

i say give the guy some time ans see what happens by the end of the year we will know which way this will go and what to do

I expected Gruden to come out with short patterns to get Robert in a groove and he did get in a groove. What the Redskins can't get into is anything 2nd and really long or say 3dr and 8 or longer. We are going to lose that battle most times. I expected Gruden would run the ball more and I thought he would run 2 -4 RO plays.

Because Griffin couldn't run the ball last year teams blitzed him often. A combination of things makes the team not very good at picking the blitz up. Our lineman, Robert holding the ball a little too long, not getting into the right front for the blitz.

It was interesting that someone put a picture of Jason Campbell. Up, I believe we gave up a pick or two to acquire him. I also couldn't help but think back to the Brunnell/Campbell years and the short safe passes. It is only one game so lets see what happens. Could be as much Grudens fault as Griffins.

Both Garcon and Jackson caught a lot of balls so I don't think Robert was checking down. One of the things you hope is those guys can make a play on a short pass but that didn't materialize too often. Houston gave them a cushion and they rallied to tackle.

What has to change? We know Griffin is in a learning phase of his career. He needs help from his coach. Everyone needs to execute better. Let the D play 9 yards off, there are plenty of routes to run to combat that. There are combo routes that flood and then clear out an area.

Anyone notice Kyle, Hoyer and the Browns put up 27?

Once again...

Don't raise the bar, lower expectations.

dude, what do you want ? some unrealistic expectation you and i can both see wont happen at this point ?

you hate him , you have given up on him so it doesnt matter what expectation i have and what the bar is

the skins need a win . lets start there first because after all isnt it about the skins and not a player ?

Explain to me how on the one hand its OK to say "Well he is a potential Franchise QB". Yet on the other hand set expectations so low that any backup SHOULD be able to hit them?? Foles passed for 340 and 2 TD on the defense we face this week. Is it unrealistic to expect a QB that is considered better than Foles to meet or exceed what he did??

The reason they run more plays is...they run an uptempo offense the whole game. Whether they are successful or not, the Eagles and the team they play against run more plays every given week than other teams.

Don't mention Kyle because people here don't think he knows what he is doing. Even though he puts up points everywhere he goes...even Cleveland.

GK... from the moment Kyle was hired, I have been saying Cleveland would have a top 15 or better offense no matter who the QB is.

I can answer this question. No, it is not unreasonable, with one exception. Foles put up those numbers because they were behind big and had to pass. Our game plan will be to run Morris. If we are successful, RG3 will have no where near the attempts Foles had. If the same situation emerges and we fall behind by 17, then your expectation is reasonable.
