A lot of these are just local TV broadcasts doing it - you won't see FOX, CBS, NBC or ESPN do this come the regular season

Soccer does it but I understand, they give you 48 whole minutes of uninterrupted play. Greed ruins everything.

I feel like I have but can't say for sure.

I can't imagine anything that would make me turn off a game any faster. End of story, and I hope Goodell and his minion's pick up on that because in the end nobody needs the NFL. We enjoy it so we watch it. Don't mess this up shithead.

Im not seeing any on-field ads. Don't if they are electronic and being removed by AFN
or I just screen them out. (I'm ADHD - I can screen out a fire alarm)
Maybe all the flags all over the field covered the ads up?????

If companies will pay for it, I don't see them going away. I can't imagine anyone refusing to watch any more 'cause there's a Red-Zone Ad'.

This. Although I can't recall seeing the ads digitally covering the pitch. With soccer it's primarily ads on the jerseys and banner ads along the perimeter of the field. And I consider that completely forgivable considering, as you said, they give you 45+ minutes of uninterrupted play.

With American Football we're already getting blasted with commercial break throughout the game.

- team scores a touchdown
- commercial break
- team kicks the extra point
- another commercial break <<<< is this 2nd break truly necessary?
- then you get the kickoff

That's good to know.

However, I would chalk that up as "for now"

Get use to it. Within 2 years, all the national games will have these.

They'll do surveys and sech. If NFL fans promptly drop or avoid those products, it'll stop.

They'll give us these stupid ads and then they'll say "we understand the heartbeat of our fans and therefore we'll offer a service for a small fee to have those ads removed for those viewers willing to pay."

Terrible. I think this is bad enough that I hope the fan backlash would be big enough to put a stop to it.

I don't like it. Did anyone see the huge Toyota ad that took up at least 20 yards? That was the worst one.

Imagine if they allow this for the playoffs and the SB? How much would a company pay for that? NFL money grab.:L
