Since I'm guessing this thread has golf fans, I'm curious what people think of the 15-inch hole experiment. TaylorMade paid for 100 golf courses to install and test out giant golf holes this year since the sport has lost tons of players in recent years and 1000s of courses have closed in the U.S. They say it makes it easier (obviously) for struggling golfers, makes rounds more fun, and speeds up the time it takes to play. Thoughts? Anybody actually play a course that has them?

Never played one that has them. I played a course that had one on the practice green and it's so easy it's not even funny. It's literally impossible to miss a ten footer. Also 15-30 footers require next to no touch to make the put. Which is to say you can hit the putt as hard as you want basically. You can also take the break out of 10-20 footers for the same reason.

I won't even get in to how easy it is/would be to chip with them as I only hit a handful of chips.

I've always dreamed of shooting 59 but I wouldn't want to do it that way.

59? Geesh. I'd like to shoot par. Imagine that wouldn't be too hard with these.

I don't think you'd want to replace all golf courses with them, but I think it might be good for golf if you had some courses around with them. A way to introduce new golfers to the sport and a change of pace for traditional golfers.

I like the idea of chipping in 1 or 2 shots each round. :) I'd definitely like to try a round on them.

As a former six year veteran of the greenskeepers guild, I must say this really takes the fun out of setting the pin placements.

Might actually shave a stroke or two off my game. Still wouldn't break 100 though.

`73 Mustang in your AV John?

Yes it is...
Nice job knowing it by the stripes. A lot of people just know the body style from '71-'73.
Hammer is the only other person to know.
