Yep....it's Washington's fault for not starting him every game in April
Wondering: How did you come to this conclusion based on that statement? Wash wasn't mentioned, nor implied IMO.

He was good in spring training.![]()
Maybe I'm the only one that saw that it was a sarcastic jab/statement? IE - Wash gets blamed for basically anything and everything on this board by some...
That's how I took it anyways... *shrug*

I certainly didn't rule out the sarcasm angle. But I also didn't ignore that over time this guy stirs the pot, even when there's no pot to be stirred.
I readily admit, I often disagree with Wash's in game skills. Make no apologizes for this. However, I also stated about three weeks ago that under the dire situation (s) this team is playing under in 2014, I wouldn't want another manager in the majors in our dugout other than RW. I recognize what he does well and acknowledge his shortcomings.
Some on here pile on Wash, I'll give ya this. But frankly, from what I've read from national columnist and GMs his in game decisions leave many wondering. So it's not just me/us who scratch our heads from time to time.
The irony of the whole situation is that if Wash were to be fired sometime soon, it would be in the middle of a situation that is no fault of his own and at a time when Wash's best traits are needed most. What the team needs now to at least pull them out of the embarrassing skid they're isn't X's and O's but instead a sense of focus and determination not to quit. I mean, they're gonna lose a lot regardless of who is at the helm just because of the patchwork minor league roster they're trotting out every night. But 22 out of 25 is inexcusable.
Washington is fine this year but most likely will have a bulls eye on his back IF this team gets outta the gate slowly next season. IMO his fate was set weeks ago. I can't debate the 22 out of 25 other than say it's been a group effort with a whole bunch of people that shouldn't be playing at this level.
Can't help but appreciate the irony of someone who complains that Wash gets talked about and blamed too much bringing Wash's name into a discussion which had absolutely nothing to do with him.
He should be fine this season, but I've read various articles which suggest they might make a change this season despite the last place record not being Wash's fault.
Probably because Choice is not Majors material. I'm saying (probably) never but will give a 1% chance because....

I didn't see a glimmer of anything in that kid, trade him if you can
And yet here you are. By the way, Pday was right.

And yet here you are, stopping by to pick at people's posts and start arguments. Still making good on that promise to ignore my posts I see.
I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say "Pday was right", but a simple perusal of this page alone would reveal that he and I are pretty much in agreement over whether Wash should be fired over this season. Furthermore, since you're having trouble following along, I was merely pointing out that all too often the Wash defenders/apologists are the ones who bring up how often he gets bashed when the topic doesn't even call for it and when nobody is even talking about Wash. Someone says something general about this season sucking and then a response of "it must be Wash's fault" is given.
You guys whine about the constant Wash bashing and blaming as beating a dead horse. Yet it's often you guys who get in the sarcastic "must be Wash's fault" jabs when he is not even the topic at hand. Pot meet kettle.
I've been very mild in my criticisms of Wash compared to many on here, often giving him credit where credit is due. Yet you seem to fixate on my posts, like I'm the poster boy for the anti-Wash bandwagon. I'm hardly surprised, though.
Please, continue on ignoring me.
Not sure if you are referring to me or Pday, but what I posted was definitely meant to be sarcasm. If you go back and read the thread it was aimed at it was more than warranted, IMO.
There are some here that don't like my opinions and I'm fine with that because it goes both ways. I don't subscribe to the herd following the clique mentality of message boards. I admit I'm guilty of not using tact a lot of times, but the stirring the pot train of thought is really lame.
What I said about your posts was that they were like reading War and Peace. You tend to ramble.
Pretty good interview of JD on 105.3 the fan today. I might see if they put a link up for it and post it later.
