Miami versus Cleveland Pros and Cons

Miami

1. Pat Riley, D-Wade and Bosh and 4 Finals Appearances and Two Rings. Grown up friends who can related to him. Not his FAB 5 whom he has helped to support financially but peers who sacrificed with him.
2. The Beaches
3. Global City Versus Cleveland with international flavor.
4. A big fish but a very big pond celebrity wise.
5. The owner did not call him a coward.
6. The fans have not burned his jersey yet and don't park cars on his lawn.

Cleveland

1. I am just a kid from Akron, comes home and attempts to win first title for city in years.
2. Makes for a better marketing campaign from Nike and for NBA - Unfinished business.
3. Makes people forget about 3 finals losses if he wins.
4. His buddies can ride with him on flights, have run of the Cavs and run of the city.
5. Bigger than life celebrity in little pond.
6. Happy Wife, happy life.

Tough choices.....

You forgot the most important thing, he is treated like a god in Cleveland.

I don't know where all these times are coming from. The only thing I have seen is his decision would be made before he leaves for the World Cup on Saturday. He very well could release his decision right before he leaves so everyone has a few days to analyze it before he returns to answer questions. Pretty much the complete opposite of "The Decision."

Why would "unfinished business" be some giant marketing success?
The only unfinished business is in Cleveland, and other then Cavs fans who cares if he ever finishes it, yet alone would buy something to promote it?

Mavs will offer exception for Vince Carter. If he declines, their next targets are: Mo Williams and Chris Anderson.......

Trading Love Mid season will be better for the Minn unless he gets hurt. A team that thinks they are almost there will give up a lot.

Disagree, Klay Thompson is a hell of better player than Wiggins, at this point of their careers. Wiggins is unproven and besides GS isn't going to break up their good backcourt to get Love.

Of course Klay Thompson is much better than Wiggins right now. I am not even convinced that Wiggins will end up being all that good. Still though, we are talking about his huge potential which drives his value to a team.

You clearly don't get what I am saying.

For a team like the Warriors or any other team trying to win now, obviously they would take Klay. I even said that in my post.

For any team like the 6ers or the Wolves (if they trade Love), they would take Wiggins over Klay because he has a higher ceiling and is much cheaper for longer. If you don't get that, then you don't understand how the NBA works.

If the Wolves deal Love, they will be looking to collect future assets. Wiggins is one of the top future assets in the league today.

Right because teams trading Superstar players mid-season on the last year of their contract always works out to a big time deal.

Just go back a few years and look at what the Magic got for Dwight Howard

Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, Moe Harkless, Josh McRoberts, Christian Eyenga, a first-round pick from either the Nuggets or the New York Knicks in 2014, a protected first-round pick from the Sixers, a protected first-round pick from the Lakers in 2017, a second-round pick from the Nuggets in 2013 and a conditional second-rounder from the Lakers in 2015.

That looks like nothing more than some role players, salary dumps, and future picks to me. No team is going to give up a star player for another star player on his last year mid-season. If you look at some of the supposed deals the Magic could have taken during the offseason or even the previous offseason they would have been a lot better value. When you wait until the last minute you end up just having to take what you can get or be left with nothing. The Wolves actually lose leverage in a trade if they wait until the mid-season trade deadline.

No, they won't. This isn't baseball where you can trade prospects without hurting your current team.

If they give up a lot, they are not helping their chances to win now and they also hurt their ability to get him to resign in the future.

There would be no rush, I say if they get Lebron try Wiggins out for half the season and he could either be worth more or decide they wanna keep them. Then they also keep the pieces are them Waiters, TT, etc.

They can still go out a get some shooters like Ray, MM, or other cheaper guys. They have so many options to work with

That being said, if they can get Love now. Pull the fucking trigger!

So Lebron is heading back to Miami before going to Brazil. Take that whatever way you want. But I can't phantom him announcing for Cleveland in Miami. God help the internet if he doesn't decide by the weekend.

The thing is, how are you going to expect a rookie to come into top form midway through the year? Every rookie I've seen in the last 5 years has hit a wall at some point during their first season. Huge transition from going through college to the pros.

Going to Miami to let Heat know face to face where he is going before signing with Cleveland. Seems to make sense. No one in Miami will be rioting. This is not Cleveland. Most won't care.

That's why if they want to trade him, ya have to pull the trigger now. Trade value more likely to go down then up, BUT Lebron might make him look better. Still goin with trade value down though
