i know i'm walking into an argument with my ears cut off, but Orakpo has been a model citizen and according to one of the latest mailbags by Kiem, it appears he's finally going to be "taught" some new moves. He claims its new experience for him...

I hope you are right! It would be great for once to see him actually attack the inside of the left tackle occasionally. Then maybe stunt towards the center and give himself up to cave in the pocket. If not, he might get that lesson by watching the young Stanford kid we drafted.

some one please tell me what a 3x pro bowler the leading sacker over his time with the team , a model citizen has to prove ? he certainly does push elite whether you think he backed into some probowls or not

he is in the top 10% of his position group

and i seriously doubt that getting 12 -14 sacks will change many minds here

and let us not forget how many sacks .pressures , hits an hurries he gets . he is far and away a team leader there

add to it he get about 150 less rush opportunities then his peers

right now his franchise tag pushes his worth top 5 pay

Ask his peers who again did not vote him in the NFL top 100. Should we look at some of the players who did make it instead? At olb and defensive end

You do realize that the top 100 is more a popularity contest than any thing right?? I mean after all, they voted Demarcus Ware into the top 100 after his worst season EVER, and rak dam sure out played him last year.

Well if no one is going to watch the games and take into consideration the disappearing act Orakpo pulls in the 2nd halves of so many games can you offer a better suggestion?

And was Rak that much more popular in 2012 when he made it to 91 on that list?

Simple. He has to prove he deserves the elite contract that he expects. He has never played to an elite level. He is good, but not great. In fact, I can't think of one time Rak has had a game changing play. I'm talking about when they game is on the line and we need a stop, I can never think of a time that Rak had a sack or a forced fumble.

Dad, don't take this as I'm down on Rak. He is a very good player, but to make the statement that he has nothing to prove is ignorant on his part. Every player has something to prove every year. The Skins have given him a one year deal at an elite level of pay. They expect him to earn it. They also realize that he may never take that step from good to great, hence the Murphy pick.

what you cal disappearing acts i call getting pressures hits hurries and drawing people off to him so others can make plays

factor in the style of defense he and kerrigan were asked to play and both their numbers suffered

some one asked about game changing plays ? how about the hold he drew on the tony romo td pass at the end of the game a few years ago that erased the go ahead TD and got us the victory ? game changing enough ?

The greatest impact play that Rak has ever had, was a holding call at the end of a a game, 3 years ago.
Oddly enough, that seems to be his signature move. Start off the snap slowly, then speed up to the left tackle's left shoulder, and if he gains good position, he throws his arms up trying to get the holding call. He obviously needs to use his hands better to keep tackles from gripping on to him. He rarely gets any holding call when he throws his arms up anyway, so why not try to separate.

4 sacks in a game isnt game changing ?

how about the td return of an int ?

his stats are on par with kerrigans which most people seem to think is better
