This series has nothing to do with a possible spurs/heat finals. Style make fights. OKC is a bad matchup for spurs but just because they matchup poorly with okc doesn't mean the heat will roll over them when the spurs obviously matches up with Miami very well. At the end of the day absolutely nothing has happened in this series. Both teams held serve and san antonio should focus on keeping that trend going tmr night.

Agreed...clearly Ibaka is making a big difference in the series, but OKC needs to win a game on the road before I'm willing to say the matchup favors them at all.

Disagree...yea, both teams held serve, so the end result is all square, but the way the games unfolded serve notice for the next game...SA now has to figure out how to attack Ibaka on their home floor.

I'm glad you said it. I just rolled my eyes when I saw his post.

:suds: No backing up that statement... Miami is mentally as tough as they come... Just wishful thinking on his part... OKC just doesn't have the same ridiculous offense they had after losing Harden... There still a good team but not the juggernaut offense they were with Harden... It's gonna be Spurs vs Miami... Spurs will hold serve ....

I think Okc or SA have a great chance vs. the Heat. Both will be battled tested having gone through the West while Miami has played a country club playoff schedule so far.

No one's going to argue that the West provides a tougher path to the Finals.

But the Spurs sure did make the Mavericks look a lot better than they are by taking 7 games to beat them.
And the Heat sure did make the Nets look a lot worse than they are by dismissing them in 5.

The Thunder are going to have a lot of confidence going into game 5, knowing they are 6-0 vs the Spurs this season with their full starting lineup.

Westbrook is'nt as great as he and the OKC fans think. Spurs win this next one at home.

Good to know a playoff series two years ago means the Heat are better than the Thunder. Good to know.

I think Game 5 will be the best game of the series. Spurs will hit more 3s than they did last game and OKC will have fewer transition points. Still, its a favorable matchup for OKC at the moment

And that's what drives me crazy about NBA refs... No way in hell should that happen... Westbrook is awesome getting to the rim but GTFO calling so many fouls ... Westbrook has mastered playing the refs by leaning into defenders right before his shot... NBA refs really do ruin the fun... Let um play... back in the day Westbrook would be knocked on his azz so many times he'd get tired of doing it so much..

To win 9 straight games at home against San Antonio is amazing. The Spurs where the best road team in the league by 5 games, 2nd best was Okc.

The Thunder have come through all year when their backs are against the wall. Now they gotta win one in San Antonio and with Ibaka that is now possible.

Neither of these teams are the same team they were 2 years ago, both are better. I think OKC probably improved more but they need to have improved enough to win 3 more games against the Heat. I am not sure they did.

I think the Thunder can lose game 5 and still win the series. If San Antonio losses game 5 they are done.

I agree, barring another injury. OKC can't take another injury to almost any of their core(ish) players

...I can see that happening, but it would likely come down to a game 7 and you hope the younger legs prevail.

imo OKC needs to get up in this series asap. The role players have to perform better than they have been to win a game in SA, or get another enormous scoring game from the big 2.

I would have more faith in OKC winning the series if they lose game 5 but i wouldnt count on it.

Also OKC in 6.

Miami is a horrible bad matchup for the Thunder.

Literally the Thunder team is built specifically and near perfectly for the Spurs style.
But, it is 180 degrees wrong for the HEAT.

Everything that helps them versus San Antonio is literally a gaping flaw versus Miami.
The NBA is always about matchups.

If the Thunder/Heat play, it will look a lot like 2012....maybe worse...

I fear the Spurs far more then I fear the Thunder as a Heat fan.

Some people aren't smart enough to fear. I assure you the Heat doesn't share your sentiments.

The numbers show OKCs offensive efficiency was better this season than 2 years ago so I guess this offense is more ridiculous.
