I have a strong feeling that RGIII is going to be "lights out" this season. I didn't feel like that, last year. I guess because he was coming off of that nasty knee injury. In addition, he had no offseason and a ton of distractions. This year, he is healthy. This year, he has an offseason to work on his game. He has no distractions. In addition, he has more weapons. My only concern is him staying healthy. Other than that..............:yahoo:

he needs to keep studying . its a new offense so that could be an issue , but stay on top of his mechanics and translate film study to the field

Not only does he need to fix his mechanics, which it appears he is working on, but he also needs to learn how to protect himself. This includes sliding, running out of bounds, and throwing the ball away. He has a very bad tendency to hang onto the ball and string every play out in hopes of making something happen. In college, he was such a superior athlete, he could get away with this. In the NFL, he is one of many superior athletes on the field. When a play breaks down, get rid of it or look to avoid contact at all costs. Let the other talent we have surrounded him with make the big play. Its his job to stay healthy and get the ball into their hands.

besides his footwork/mechanics, his most noticeable flaw last season was holding on to the ball too long. upgrading the receivers might help that this year.

some of that was trying to make a play and some of it was not knowing what defenses were doing to him .

an example of this was at the philly game when he said he was trying to throw the ball away at the end , but he missed helu open to his right and down field some . that is on him

so transferring film study tom the practice field to the game is important

i agree on protecting himself
