I look at this schedule and I can't help but think it is a great schedule for a new HC. Hou and Jax 1st two games. Couldn't ask for better to start the season. 2 teams worse than us and non conference games. In fact, I think the first half of the season is about as easy as it can get. Doesn't mean we can win em all, but we could very realistically be 6-3 going into the bye. Of course we could also be 3-6. But the schedule is tailor made for a new coach.

I know the Texans don't have a QB right now, but let's not forget that Jay Gruden's history..are you guys forgetting that when Jay Gruden was the Bengals OC the Bengals lost two years in a row against the Houston Texans in the 1st round of the playoffs.

There is absolutely no reason to be concerned about a game like this at this point & your conclusion is kind of flawed for several reasons. First of all the team that lost to the Texans was the Bengals - not the Redskins & that was against a Texans team that was considered SB contenders not one coming off a season where they were the worst team in the league. Finally - Gruden was the offensive coordinator - not the head coach which - for better or worse - is completely different.

I like this matchup & am looking forward to it. This pits the two teams with the worst record in the league last season, yet both were in the playoffs the previous season & both have new coaches and higher expectations. I honestly believe that there is no way to predict the outcome of this one since both teams are in the midst of major changes. Should be fun.

Are you predicting 4-12 as the Redskins record next season? If so - I would love to make a bet against that. The schedule is somewhat tough (hard to tell since teams change so much every year). However - I certainly believe that they should win more than 4 games. They should at least split the games in the NFC-E and have a good shot against Jags, Titans, Bucs & Vikings. Cards, Rams & Texans games could go either way. 49ers, Seahawks & Colts will definitely be favored in those games but you never know.

Overall - pretty happy with the schedule.

the only thing i would say is dont overlook teams . that is what starts trouble with our team

the texans have a good defense . it should be an early good test for our revamped o/line

but we do have a chance to get off to a good start which could help us build on

I really don't imagine that a 3-13 team is going to overlook anyone especially early in the season. I also really don't think that they overlooked anyone last season. They were just flat out not a good team & made numerous mistakes. Now the fans may feel differently but that doesn't matter since they don't play the games.
