East should get more than the West every year as the East has many more schools thus many more opportunities.

Yeah drives me crazy when I hear people talking about how there aren't many great western teams in college basketball in a particular year or in the history of the sport.

Look at a map of where all the schools are located and its pretty easy to figure out why.

New Mexico only has 2 Div 1 schools. New Mex and State.

Idk about New Mexico. Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff is the 3rd school in AZ.
