That's what I have been saying before Gkekoa I've been trying to trade Cousins since week 1 of last year. Will we get a 2nd rounder for him? I give it a 50/50 chance.

They say they want a 2nd right now. But I get the feeling they will deal Cousins for what ever they can get. I do not expect him to be on roster with the Redskins when week one of the 2014 season starts.

Grossman wont be back, but I dont think Cousins will be here either. I agree that the two while publicly can get along, I think the front office is going to deal Cousins and bring in a true backup who is just happy to be a backup. Its all about RG3 for better or worse.

I think rex is gone but either way I don't know how important a backup qb is for this team right now. We don't have the team to win games with a backup qb right now.

Vince Young, Tavaris Jackson, or pick your guy who would be out of the league if he wasnt a backup. A guy who KNOWS he isnt going to be a starter at this point, but is ok with making $1 million or more a year to stand around, look concerned, but really hopes he doesnt have to go in. Kinda like Orton in Dallas. Kirk wants to be a starter, he is still young. And Im willing to bet it burned him to be sitting on the sidelines during quite a few of those games last year. He is smart enough to NOT raise a stink, but if he is competitive as they say... he wants out of DC in a bad way. And the best way to boost Griffins confidence at this point might be to bring in a guy who he knows has no shot of being put in mid season if he falters.

At this point in time I dont know if he will or wont be on the team....If traded, I hope we get at least 1 decent player that will make an impact on Special Teams at least to start his career.......

AS far as Rex.....I dont see him around this year no matter what!! Thank GOD!!!!


I hope this year...we dont keep 3 Qbs on the 53 man roster....We got absolutly from #53 on our roster last year...Who knows, maybe if rex was gone, we kept a teamer that would have made a couple tackles here and there.....we beat Dallas...etc....What a waste....

When I saw he was on the roster last year, I was upset.....Wasted Roster Spot!!!!!

This is all just positioning by the skins. If someone offered them a second today, cousins would be on the next flight out of here. If they get a high 3rd and change (lower round pick or a player), they still will probably deal him. The reality is we have so many holes that we don't have the luxury of having a back up that has starter potential. But since we have to replace him, I don't see them just dumping him off, either. There has to be significant value in an offer for it to make sense.
