Wow, Colston dumb play. Offense didn't have the best day against a mediocre defense, it will be interesting to see how Carolina or SF's defense does next week.

Weather was a big factor for both offenses early… Wind was blowing HARD out there today and the ball was wet …

Weather obviously played a factor in the outcome. The 2 missed fg was huge

Weather did play a factor, but Seattle's offense hasn't looked on track in a little while. I'm not sure that matters so much since your defense is so spectacular and you're playing at home next week, but still.

No you made a great point and I agree. The game was frustrating to watch at times with he offense. I'm happy we got the running game going.

That was a good thing. Look, if I were to look at this from a Seahawk fan's perspective I would say:

Good Points --- the defense and the secondary in particular were lights out, they dictated the game, the offense did not make any mistakes and they busted enough plays to win.

Bad Points --- the run defense looked a little suspect that could have been worse had New Orleans not gotten in an early hole, the offense looked off kilter for the 5th game in a row.

I don't think it's too much cause for alarm though because your defense can carry you through a lot, my hope would be if the 49ers play you guys that Kaepernick settles down, doesn't make mistakes, and Boldin, Crabs, and Davis can catch some passes.

I'm not trying to dog the Seahawks after a win, it was a win in the playoffs.

The weather helped New Orleans more. Seattle dropped 2 gimme INTs one of which resulted in a 52 yard catch for New Orleans (seriously..... the fuck?) and Seattle was dropping more balls offensively than New Orleans.

If there's no weather Seattle probably picks off Brees 3 times and it's a 30 to 7 type of game.

What killed the Saints was their using two time outs early in the second half.

The game today showed me the impact of Percy had in when he was in the game the offense looked a lot better. But after he we r out he offense was completely flat. I'm hopin he comes back next week.

Good:
1.Michael Bennett- dude is a monster. Definately the link this defense was missing last year
2.Michael Bowie- I dont think it was a coincidence Lynch finally broke out with him in there. He played solid and Im glad the Carp experiment is finally over.
3. Lynch- of course right but give the man his due he ran hard
4. Bobby Wagner- since the Tampa game he's been lights out

Bad:
1. Russell Wilson- has to be said, he missed alot of throw especially on 3rd down. He's got to be better
2. Darrell Bevell- You can run on 3rd and 3 once in while when its been working
3. Clock Management- should have been better on that last field goal in 1st half we could have run more clock, Lynch should have gone down in bounds at the end to kill the clock.
4. Onside Kicks- not sure if we have faced one up until now. Huge error by Tate not letting the ball go 10 yards. Need to practice that this week.

We won its over, but lot to improve against what will definately be a top defense next week.

New Orleans was #4 in YPG allowed and #4 in PPG allowed. I'm not sure how that is mediocre.

I really don't think you can call the Saints defense mediocre. I believe they are top 5 or 6 overall. They played really well considering they were missing at least 3 starters. They also played more top offenses this season then we did, and still ended up with a top defense. They just layed an egg in every aspect of the game last time we played them in week 13 and just about every part of the Hawks game worked well.
