So what are the long term thoughts on Stills?

I own Colston in a couple of leagues and he has been a huge disappointment. I realize that Graham is one of the main targets, so it's not like I'm anticipating that Stills will take away looks from him.

But in standard leagues, Stills is the top N'Orleans WR:
Stills = 62 points
Colston = 37
Moore = 12
Meachum = 10

But if Colston is not getting separation, and Brees is looking to throw down field, it looks like Stills may be not only be the current target, but may even be the heir apparent for a "past-his-prime" Colston.

Or am I just being too hard on Colston because of his lack of production? Thoughts?

I don't think you're being too hard on Colston. He's not getting the good targets, and he's not even a thought in the red zone, a place he used to light up (something like 80% of his career touchdowns have come from the red zone). Stills has been looked at as the Henderson type, and has kind of performed like that. I do think his upside is growing, but let's not forget about Lance Moore. So, what I'm getting at, is the consistency will probably 'Stills' not be there... although the consistency that was Colston also looks to have vanished. I'd take the upside of huge games from bomb touchdowns with Stills, over Colston and his two first-down catches a game.

I'm dropp8ng Colston for Stills in 2 leagues (if it goes through)..nearly did it last week but thought with Graham set to be limited, is give him another chance. .to hell with that idea.

IMHO Stills is the better pup in standard...he will be explosive on the outside (Brees quoted as being impressed by the Kid and i think he came in as a highly touted WR Option..)

he certainly will have up and down games we cant expect a Td every week

while Jones should be a solid PPR option for Dalton while opposing corners try to limit AJ on the outside
but hey dont expect any more 4Td games out of marvin

Had to look to see if Treff had Colston in MBBRL. By tomorrow morning Stills will be a Fuzzie with my #1 waiver. :10:

Hey, is there anyone in the NFL named Nash? See, then you could get Mason Crosby, Stills and...:laugh3:

As I have stated before, I am easily amused. :nod:

Don't forget about Albert Young on the Steelers.

Then you'd have Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

No Emerson, Lake and Palmer?

IMO, he's the WR to own in New Orleans now.

Stills will continue being very hit or miss...especially with Moore back now.

...and cover... I can see Cromartie (and the remaining #1 corners) spending the day with Stills and Colston being left to the others.

That's happened with Graham..Colston still couldnt take advantage.

^^^ This

Colston's lack of production doesn't have anything to do with the attention he has been eating up from opposing defenses. Watch him play... he simply doesn't get any separation.

Stills will be the guy.

As far as Marvin Jones, he will just be an asterisk on the season for scoring 4 TDs in 1 game. He will be no more well known than Al Bundy now that Andrew Hawkins is back.
