What will your teams starting line up look like?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

QB - Josh Freeman, Kansas State
RB - Doug Martin, Boise State
FB - Erik Lorig, Stanford
WR - Vincent Jackson, Northern Colorado
WR - Mike Williams, Syracuse
TE - Luke Stocker, Tennessee (Tom Crabtree, Miami (Ohio) is the starter once he Heals)
LT - Donald Penn, Utah State
LG - Gabe Carimi, Wisconsin (Carl Nicks, Nebraska is the starter once he Heals)
C - Jeremy Zuttah, Rutgers
RG - Davin Joseph, Oklahoma
RT - Demer Dotson, Southern Miss

Defense
DE - Adrian Clayborn, Iowa
DT - Akeem Spence, Illinois (R)
DT - Gerald McCoy, Oklahoma
DE - Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, Washington or DaQuan Bowers, Clemson
ROLB - LaVonte David, Nebraska
MLB - Mason Foster, Washington
SOLB - Dekoda Watson, Florida State
CB - Darrelle Revis, Pittsburgh
CB - Leonard Johnson, Iowa State
S - Mark Barron - Alabama
S - Dashon Goldson, Washington

Never really realized it but the Bucs could start 3 Huskies at each level of the Defense.

I also think the Bucs are the only team in the League to start Two Tackles that were Undrafted Free Agents.

That may not bode well for the Bucs...

Funny seeing another Bears first round pick on another team as a LG. The Bears have been really bad at drafting olineman

I am just guessing, since he has been taking first team reps this week. The Funniest thing is we have no back up guards. Carimi is the backup RT, Merideth is the back up LT and Larson is the backup C. But they have all started games at guard, minus Carimi.

I am very encouraged with only 2 guards on the roster though, I think Nicks is more likely to play this week than not. I cannot see Nicks being out more than 1 week with no back up guards on the roster, or on the practice squad.

And thats the whole rub with the Bucs, right? Playoff caliber team when healthy, basement level team when not.

I would not say that. The Bucs have not been healthy for the last 3 years. If you take out the 10 game quitting steak to end 2011, the Bucs are 21-19 in the last 3 years. Now part of the reason 2011 happened was McCoy went down for the year in that 7th game (might have been 6th but I think it was at San Fran). Most of it had to do with Coach losing half the team that he wasnt best friends with, once he just gave Jackson the FS position.

If Nicks starts then the Bucs will have their actual starting lineup healthy for the first time in a very long time. Not just that, we have depth at the most the positions now, outside CB this team can survive an injury. Hopefully if Karma means a thing this year should be a healthy year for the Bucs.

FB Erik Lorig and TE/Backup FB Tom Crabtree might miss the game this week though. But I think that is why we kept 4 RBs, Leonard will play FB and Hillis would be the back up RB. Assuming rookie RB James eye is not healed up, he is #3 on the depth chart behind Leonard.

There is actually a weird stat with the Bucs last year. Apparently they were able to 'stuff' RBs at the line of scrimmage on 33% of all run plays last year which was far and away the best in the NFL (2nd place was 26%). But they were near the bottom at actually sacking QBs. That would suggest that improving their secondary could lead to a lot more sacks and maybe even a halfway good defense. I think Revis is exceptionally important to the Bucs.

Their DL isn't that good. I can see them dropping off in run defense this year.

Until I looked at that, I didn't realize how pitiful the Jets skill players really are. Wow. At least they should have a salty D. 4-12

They are not worse than last season. Mostly its because they are young guys and no one knows them yet. Chris Ivory has a ton of talent. Stephen Hill is improving, he was a raw rookie and now in year 2. 6'4 runs a 4.2, he should be better this year. Jeremy Kerley is a baller. We got Santonio Holmes back. Clyde Gates looked much improved. Jeff Cumberland is a talented young TE who was raw coming in but has gotten a lot better, I think he could break out. Kellen Winslow looked solid. Can the QB step up though?

Chris Ivory, former Lobo, whoot! Funny thing is Chris was the 2nd best RB on his HS team behind Vontrel Magee. Chris fumbled 4 times in a playoff loss to Lufkin and this scrubby WR they had....Dez Bryant

No way Geno Smith starts more than 8 games
I take back my previous statement. Geno Smith's ability to scramble really puts him on track for OROY consideration.
