Ended up with the 5th pick in the draft.

1.(5)Jamaal Charles (KC - RB)
2.(16)Brandon Marshall (Chi - WR)
3.(25)Chris Johnson (Ten - RB)
4.(36)Vincent Jackson (TB - WR)
5.(45)Darren Sproles (NO - RB)
6.(56)Hakeem Nicks (NYG - WR)
7.(65)Montee Ball (Den - RB)
8.(76)Tony Romo (Dal - QB)
9.(85)Denver (Den - DEF)
10.(96)T.Y. Hilton (Ind - WR)
11.(105)Eli Manning (NYG - QB)
12.(116)Brandon Myers (NYG - TE)
13.(125)Michael Floyd (Ari - WR)
14.(136)Danny Woodhead (SD - RB)
15.(145)DeAndre Hopkins (Hou - WR)
16.(156)Sebastian Janikowski (Oak - K)

Starting Lineup:
Romo
J Charles
CJ1K
Brandon Marshall
VJax
Sproles or Nicks for flex
Myers
Janikowski
DEN DST

I felt like I was solid enough at RB and WR that I could take Eli that high as my QB2. I was the last to take QB and TE, but I think my depth at RB/WR should do fine in this league.

I would say you took Denver way too early..but knowing you, I'm sure there was a good reason for it.
And I'd like to see a stronger RB in your #3-5's. Im a believer in Ball, but he is a rook in what could be a straight up commitee..hope not but its possible. And Sproles and Woodhead just don't do it for me.
Still a very solid team that I think you'll go far with!

In PPR I think you'll kill it. According to my rankings among WR/RB for PPR you have the #2, #4, #18 and #23 (CJ1K is farther down on my list at 42, but still...). I probably would have taken a QB instead of Nicks, depending who was there. TE will hurt, too. I'd much rather have a guy like Witten starting at TE than Nicks on my bench in PPR.

But you have so many PPR studs that you should still tear it up.

A couple people announced that they had to leave -auto draft immediately fills vacant starting positions on your roster, so I took DEN in the 9th after SEA, SF, CHI, HOU went in the 8th. I could have possibly waited 1 more round or two, but wanted to get a team that can pile on the sacks.

Sproles and Woodhead go up in my rankings for PPR, especially Sproles. Never know what is going to happen to Matthews, Woodhead could end up getting a lot of touches this year.

Need to keep my eyes on TEs that could possibly emerge, like Fleener and Eifert. Don't want to roll the whole season with just Myers

I also hope Ball isnt in a committee as a PPr team it looks solid

If CJ1.5K plays well and Nicks stays on the field you should steamroll...

and your 4th 5th and 6th Wr look great so by mid season you should have the depth to upgrade in any spot that lets you down.. Floyd beside Fitzy and Hopkins beside my Fave Texan yes sir..

maybe TE if Myers doesnt cut it...However i do like Myers to do a great job i'm sure he is looking forward to being a go to guy for Eli

I mentioned Nicks above because im always afraid he gets dinged but hey if he does Myers will benefit

thus i rate it a top notch squad with great depth and the potential to go all the way

i didnt look yet and i guess i should but if Romo has a nice week 14/15/16 schedule they may be paying you...

I don't care that it's ppr for woodhead. I don't think he's roster worthy. He was a product of new England's offense. I'm not sure I've ever seen him make one impressive play. He tries hard but he won't do much in San Diego. I liked sproles anyways so PPR I like him a lot.

I like it a lot especially PPR. Just finished my work league draft and I have the same pair of starting RB's but CJ didn't come so cheap.

I think Chris Johnson in the 3rd is a major steal. Nicks in the 6th is risky, especially when you're only starting two WR, but if (and that's a huge if) he stays healthy, there's value there, I just would have kept hitting the RB's.

Very nice squad all around though.

Nicks - contract year. That is the one and only reason that I think he will be on the field more than off it this year. He is angling for that WR1 money, not those peanuts that the slot WRs get. He'll have to do something to give a team an excuse to overpay for his services next season.

If I got a mulligan on this one, I'd do it very similar, but would probably look to get a QB or TE instead of Nicks. I think that Stafford was the only QB that was taken between my pick of Nicks until I got Romo, think I could have gotten VDavis at that spot though.

thanks for all the replies everyone

I'm liking Nicks this year myself for the reasons you just stated. We all know this guy is a stud when healthy he just needs to stay, um healthy.............

would you drop any of the following players to pick up ryan broyles:
DeAndre Hopkins
Danny Woodhead
Michael Floyd

Best RBs on waivers: Stacy, Pead, PThomas, Powell, Reece, Moreno, Mike Bush, both SF backups
Best WRs on waivers: Dobson, Broyles, Wright, Sanu, Hartline, Streater, Randle, DHB, Patterson

Broyles is really the only player that I would consider as worth using a waiver spot on (6th).
Not sure I'd be any better with him over Floyd or Hopkins, other than DET passes a ton. PPR league as well, and Woodhead looks to be my worst player, but I still think he becomes the RB1 in SD once Matthews breaks something or fumbles away anything left of his potential. Woodhead will play on passing downs even if Matthews is healthy, imo.

nothing against woodhead but you like pretty solid at Rb i love Broyles... so by by Woodhead for me

Woodhead could fall into Rb1 but does anyone really think the Chargers want to see him there

i may be wrong but i think SD would use him more as a slashing split out back than a true rb1

Well, Carson Palmer hasn't been able to maintain an offense well enough to give more than one WR any sort of real value for nearly a decade..I'd cut Micheal Floyd

went with Treff's advice, dropped Floyd for Broyles. Waited a couple days after the draft and took the chance that no one else would use a waiver on him.
I have a feeling Woodhead gets more time/touches in SD than any charger fan would like. If Matthews couldnt beat out Ronnie Brown for the passing downs, Woodhead should easily win those snaps this year. And with Hopkins/Nicks/Hilton I felt more comfortable dropping Floyd than losing one of my RBs.

the team that was auto drafted dropped maclin for hartline - close one there, whew!

Atta kid. Palmer is decent news for Fitzgerald...great news for whomever the TE ends up being...after that, may as well have Tim Tebow back there.
