Following OnlyCrimson's lead, I thought this game was deserving of a (who wins) thread as well.

Score prediction... And if you want analysis.

Game:

Boise @ Washington.

Washington will be breaking in there upgraded stadium. While the stadium is still in the same location by the lake, it may as well be a brand new stadium. They have eliminated the track separating the fans from the field. It was already very very loud, but now, the fans are right on top of you. And they are vicious.

Stadium looks incredible. wow.

I think Boise takes it in a close, lower scoring game. Something to the effects of 17-13 in favor of Boise St.

It's hard for me not to pick Boise when Petterson and company has time to prepare. Give me Boise by 15

UW by at least 14. Book it. We have already seen this game on a neutral site with both teams having time to game plan only this time UW won't have 1/3 of its starters out with season ending injuries. If the last game they played ended with BSU by 2 points and now they added a whole lot more on both sides of the ball with returning players what makes anyone believe it will be anything other than a win at home? Did BSU add as many players as UW did? I really really doubt it. 7 returning players from injury and several outstanding freshmen who will contribute right out of the gate. Logic says UW should have the advantage.

I agree with Wiz. The only difference is that I think it will be closer than 14. People are forgetting that Boise only returns nine starters to Washington's 18 or 19. U-Dub is at home where they are extremely tough and Boise barely beat Washington last year, and that was at a neutral site. Washington pushes on the point spread and wins by three.

At least you get that I'm not dumping on BSU. I do think they are not quite as strong as they were a few years ago with Moore, but they are always dangerous. On a neutral site who knows what the final would be. At home with UW going to the up tempo no huddle and no one has film on it and breaking in a new stadium along with a seemingly improved again defense it's a tall task for anyone to come in and win that first game. They were a close to even team last year in the bowl and now there are a lot of added intangibles for UW's side in this rematch. Is it at least possible they lose? Of course. Price could be bad. They could have a slew of injuries. It's college football and anything can happen any week, but to me the odds of UW winning are well above 50%.

I think Boise will pull it out in a close game. I'm excited about our "renovated" offense but don't think Wilcox will allow BSU to put up more than 30. There's a lot of hype in Seattle, I'm not sure if Sark can keep his team from getting caught up in it. If he doesn't, Petersen and company will give the first punch and it will be the Huskies chasing the Broncos the rest of the way.

17-27 BSU

Dawgs in a close one, home opener after being gone for a year , the noise will be incredible, plus you gotta look back to the Vegas Bowl last year, UW should've won, they beat themselves, I'm going with 24-21 Dawgs...

So you can expect more "beating yourselves"

So you think the 2pt loss to a team you have NEVER beat came because of Sark? Couldn't have had anything to do with the rag tag offensive line they had with all of the injuries? There was nothing else but bad coaching? lol. Love the haters.

You do realize that despite having maybe the worst team injuries I can ever remember they beat two ranked teams last year and had they just not made one bad play in their last two games they still would have ended up with 9 wins. What would they be ranked now with just two different plays? And before you say anything we have heard all this off season about the one bad kick that kept your team out of the 'natty'.

Yes, UW shot themselves in the foot in more than a couple of games and it is well understood why it happened. You put 4 kids on your O line who are all playing too early and getting too much game time and funny things happen. You take out most of your D line to injury and shouldn't be surprised with inconsistent play.

You can keep on embarrassing yourself with your total lack of football knowledge or just go slide back under the rock you came from.

I think UW is the favorite in this one. New stadium, more returning starters, but don't count out the Broncos. Every year they open in a hostile venue, and they've only lost two of these in a decade.
