So, Howard tells Rockets he wants a 3rd superstar?

This is why the NBA is going to the shitter

They should have stopped these stupid player demands in the last CBA.

Parody is lacking in the NBA.

Parody is CLEARLY abundant in the NBA. Parity is lacking.

Gotta give Houston credit though......they brought EVERYBODY with their pitch......Hakeem, Clyde, Yao Ming, and had Dikembe on the phone.

Although parody is why the NFL is so popular it is a lot less possible in the NBA. 82 game seasons and 7 game series means the variance is much less. The seeds will be accurate and the best team will win much more regularly.

Also I am pretty sure the NBA got on the map when LA was battling Boston every year in the 80s. It continued when the bulls won 6 of 8.

The NBA gains popularity by having the latest GOAT every generation. I think they have found it is even more profitable for that player to be hated. Everyone bought MJs shoes, but every one now will buy everyone else's jersey's until they can not stand to root against him and then they will buy LBJs too, Cav fans twice.

And there's only 5 guys on the court at a time. The NFL has as many players starting just on one side of the ball as an NBA team has on their entire roster.

That's why a team like the Eagles can sign a "Big-Three" and fall on their face while a huge union like the Heat put together can immediately become the team to beat.

Bingo. Parity isn't really possible in the NBA anyhow. There will always be a small group of teams that are better than everyone else.

The Heat are great for the league. They generate large TV audiences because you either love them or hate them, but either way you are invested.

Regardless of what Dwight said in the past about joining with other good players I like that he is doing it now. It shows he wants to win and is smart enough to know how to go after it. I also like him asking for another good player.

Parity won't exist in the NBA because superstars have more impact in the NBA rather than the MLB or NFL. You could have Tom Brady but it doesn't matter how good you are at QB you need offensive lineman that can give you time, WRs that can get open. It is easier to stop a Brady, Calvin, or AP than it is to stop a Lebron or Durant. The NBA is a superstar oriented game. The NFL is a more team oriented game because players have to rely on others. Lebron does not NEED to rely on anyone else.

To me, this is just more of the rumor crap that is going to be happening until Dwight actually signs somewhere.

Last week there was a report on the radio that Dallas was the frontrunner because Dwight didn't want to share the spotlight with Harden and Dirk had contacted him to say that he was ready to let someone else be the face of the franchise.

Unfortunately for Dwight, it's even easier for reporters to just throw crap against the wall and see what sticks because with his famous indecisiveness, just about anything can be considered a possibility.

What he will probably do, so he doesn't make anyone unhappy, is ask the league if he can play 27 games each with the Lakers, Mavs and Rockets.

Then after 81 games, play the 82nd for the team he feels will have the best chance in the playoffs and finish the season out with them.

Any team that gives Howard max money is plain stupid

For this guy to demand out of Orlando and sulk and bitch and cry at every fucking chance to be able to demand shit is the reason this shit will never stop.

I would colude and make his ass sit for 2 years if I was an owner. Let him appriciate the NBA and its fans a little bit more

:laugh3: Sad thing is, if he could, this is probably exactly what he'd do!!

Whoever signs this guy deserves everything they get. My wife and I have already discussed it and if the Lakers sign Dwight at the max deal, we're officially rooting against them. And I know we're not alone among Lakers fans.

Great. Come to the dark side for only as long as you choose.
Then, you can give Laker fans grief for a while and leave us Heat fans alone!:yahoo:

Healthy Lakers squad > Houston > Dallas

I'm not sure about this....And what are the chances of your lakers being healthy when all of your top players excluding Dwight are in their mid/late 30's

I think Dallas would be the stupid choice.

If I'm Dwight the Lakers would be my 3rd choice behind Houston and GSW
