Goodbye $50 million exit fee.
The ACC on Monday announced a Grant of Rights agreement among its 15 members.
CBSSports.com reported earlier Monday the ACC presidents were in the process of clearing the Grant of Rights with their departments. The agreement will go to 2026-27, the duration of the league's contract with ESPN.

Well this sucks for the football schools. I don't know how Clemson, FSU and Virginia Tech signed this with a straight face.

This is also a sign they are going to lose the maryland case or settle at a ridiculously low buyout.

So what am I missing? Does this say that if a school leaves they forfeit future TV deal earnings? Or are they on the hook for all the earnings they had received up to that point?

future earnings including home games

I figured this already happened. If you leave a conference you don't get to take your money with you. If a school maks $20M in one conference and would be $25M in another, wouldn't they still be enticed to leave?

NM, just read another story that words it clearer. So no matter what conference these teams are in, the ACC gets the money.

YIKES. Ok, yeah. That is a big deal

United we stand, divided we fall:

"The league said Monday each of the current and future schools has signed the deal, which is effective immediately."

We are a solid league now. B1G can go poach the AAC, MAC or CUSA.

Hopefully this will bring a halt to "Conference Realignment" for a while, anyway.

:drum:

Maybe the conferences will stop eating each other now.

:croc:
