Did you watch the whole game?

Did you?

Yes, Huskers were in the game until the 4th quarter, and a couple of those long pass were great catches into pretty tight coverage, but I would classify the defense overall as fairly atrocious......the run defense was much better than I expected and the pass defense much worse than I expected......

I gotta say I'm really not that upset with the way the front seven played.

What killed us was not being able to make a play in 1 on 1 sometimes 2 on 1 situations where the ball is in the air.

One that really kills me is where Green's hips aren't flipped all the way and he still manages to get a hand on the ball. Ball proceeds to fall into a UGA players hands for a TD.

Yes, I watched the whole game. Yes I agree your front seven did one hell of a job, the only problem I saw with that front 7 was when they did get into the backfield to pressure Murray, they just couldn't wrap him up and bring him down, but they at least sent him on a scramble. The problem was, even with the front 7 doing a great job at getting pressure on Murray, he was able to create time and seemed could connect to a WR downfield or right in the middle of the field everytime.

When your defense needed stops the most, on 3rd and long, it seemed everytime Georgia was able to connect mid field for a first down. Something Nebraska has seemed to struggle with every time this year was middle of the field coverage.

your offense, well your offense has had the same struggles for years now. No identity. They don't know what they want to be, a spread offensive team and a spread with up tempo, or a run right at you type of team. Honestly, I think Nebraska should obtain the identity of a Stanford/Wisconsin type. But I think Pelini and your OC are set on being a mixed offense. Which IMO, doesn't work because again, you have no true identity of what you are, therefore; you have no consistency.

In all, Nebraska certainly held their own and did far better than I ever imagined they would to a team that was 5 yards away from a NC berth. But, I just saw glaring issues that has been a problem for that team not just this year, but for years.

But regarding your defense, in 2 games they have given up A LOT of points and yards.

You have a point. It might seem that way to an outsider, but you do not run strictly power with the absurd amount of talent Nebraska has at the skill positions.

It's gonna be even more absurd next year. Practically everyone returns on O. This game had nothing to do with the offensive scheme. The scheme worked and worked damn fucking well. Nebraska was moving the ball at will at times and had that "mighty SEC defense" calling two timeouts in the 3rd quarter to catch its breath.

Taylor threw a DUMB int and Abdullah had a fumble that completely changed the momentum. It was over after that.

Offense is fine, defense needs more playmakers.

You saw it. They were in position and couldn't make the play. It's a matter of athleticism and Bo has finally gotten his shit together as far as recruiting defense but only recently, so it has yet to show on the field.

We should be 8-0 next season going into Ann Arbor. This team will break the top 5 next year. Maybe even the top 2, but the question is if they can get the defense shored up enough to be solid. They don't even have to be great. Just solid.

I have seen Nebraska run this tempo, but they only do it so often and then stop. They should continue to go fast.
