Nebraska who has been clawing itself back from the depths of irrelevance since 1999 (Their last conference title) had the perfect opportunity this season with a down B1G conference. Ohio State the conferences best team was ineligible, Penn State couldn't go and they got matched up with a 7-5 Wisconsin team, that Nebraska got lucky to beat the first time in their comeback victory in Lincoln, after Wisconsin starting QB got injured. But don't tell them they got lucky as they would have come back regardless, because well, they are that good.
Everyone has predicted Nebraska to finally, FINALLY win their conference for the first time since 1999, only it's second year in the B1G and with multiple comeback wins, the Huskers seemed poised to put themselves back on the national stage of today's elite programs.
They entered December 1st with the opportunity to do that, they had ONE night, ONE night to prove to the college football work the Huskers were back, like it was on the verge of being the 90s all over again.
Then, well, then the Huskers kicked off in Indianapolis, and simply dropped their britches, turned around, bent over, put a smile on their face and took the Badgers 42 first half point dick up their ass.
Just like that, the Huskers become a laughing stock in the college football world and completely get embarrassed in a terrible B1G conference. Those Roses that were being smelt in Lincoln all of a sudden took an citrus type smell.
