Florida struggled with Louisiana Lafayette and bowling green. Yeah Oregon over Florida sounds right.

this is a good point. a couple years ago, they needed all sorts of help from the officials to beat a Nebraska team that couldn't even win the lowly Big Ten the following season.

It's the entire premise of your argument. You use rankings but claim it holds value only if they aren't teams in the SEC.

Oregon deserves to be ranked higher because of their spectacular performance against unranked teams. Florida deserves to be ranked lower because the highly ranked teams they played don't deserve to be in that spot to begin with.

I've also noticed a 2-loss mid major got in the rankings. Not only does Boise State lost 2 games, but they have one of the worst SoS as well.

They are ranked above a 1-loss Kent State who has a tougher SoS.

Georgia's SOS is pretty bad, but I don't see Oregon passing them without a high ranked win. Georgia's loss may not be as impressive as Oregons but who have they beaten? 7-4 Arizona? 7-4 Washington?

If UGA gets beat by Bama, they will drop well out of the top 10... but if they beat the Tide... I can't see how you could hold them out of the title game.
