they are horribly top heavy
It's been that way for the last few seasons now. No one really seems to be stepping up. It's basically been Oregon and USC at the top, with Stanford filling in the two years USC was down. Everyone else is treading water or moving backward. The Pac-10 was definitely more interesting back in the mid to late 90's when a different team played in the Rose Bowl every season.
