PSU: hammered by NCAA punishment and transition to a totally new staff and identity

Miami: facing more competition for in-state talent and possibly facing massive NCAA punishments

Notre Dame: just plain underachievement that has become chronic

He won't be playing much. He has a sore ankle and as a pass rush specialist, this is not a matchup worth risking their chop blocking on that ankle. I will have a talk with Bruce Taylor and Jack Tyler, though.

ND.

1.) because they can afford to lose 1-2 games and if they are anywhere near the top the media would LOVE to make a push for them in the title game.

2.) Their schedule sets up for them to only need to win 2-3 big games each year.

Penn State is simply done for. They basically got the death penalty.

Miami is going to get hammered severely in the future and how will they bounce back when they can't even bounce back without sanctions?

Of the 3 that were listed Miami has the best chance. Sure there will be more sanctions but not a ton more like some think. We came back from worse than we will get before.
You certainly didn't mean this year? But down the road.

it was Boston College and you guys had to come back from 21 down...

Well BC is an AQ team. Went on the road and came back. Previous Miami teams would have quit.

is BC suppose to be good though. I figured them to be bottom of ACC. Just a notch above Maryland.

Should we write off the ducks because they gave up 34 to Arky St?

:pound:

That was our 4-5th stringers vs ASU starters that gave up 34 points. It was 50-3 at one point in that game. LOLLLLLLL

Oregon could have held Arky state under 10 pts and scored however many they wanted.

ok...but to be at all concerned about Oregon giving up 34 points to arkansas state is ridiculous. That game was over by end of the first quarter. They should have called it. No way does that score indicate anything.

Yeah, BC is going to be terrible; between them and Maryland they might be bowl eligible, but last I checked the NCAA doesn't let two teams combine their win totals

BC will debut at #10 in the Sports SportsHoopla ACC Power Rankings. They are really really really bad this year and their offense is terrible. The fact they hung with the U makes me doubt the U's chances of going bowling this year.

Might want to throw Wake in there as well.
