Prettty good. It starts to dive after Nebraska/TCU, but pretty good IMO.

Looks good to me, except Auburn being in there.

Huh? Clemson is tied with VT ahead of WVU...by one point. Maybe you should see an eye doctor.

Ahhhhh, thanks for pointing that out so politely. I thought they were tied with WVU. Still though, I'm not sure it's wise to rank us better than a team that dropped 70 on us... :bolt:

I just tallied the points, the wisdom of the poll is the collected bias of SportsHoopla voters. :pound:

Different year, different teams. Otherwise, preseason polls will just be the previous seasons end of year poll.

I still hate pre-season polls in general; until the teams play several games, no one really has any idea who is going to do what. Maybe the top five or so teams, but even then there's just nothing but speculation and prognostication.

Especially now that a lot of the first 3 or 4 games are cupcake teams. OU's first two games will probably not tell me anything about how good or bad OU is going to be this year. :L

It's only going to get worse if the conferences keep expanding and go to 9 conference games... Clemson has already cancelled home and homes with several SEC teams and Okie State because of it :mad2:

I don't think you'll hear an argument from anyone here regarding the fact that polls should wait several weeks into the season.

They do serve the purpose for the media in getting conversations/hype going for early season matchups. Nothing but driving ratings and therefore money up for what may end up being a couple 6-6 teams.

Teams that won't be there after the REGULAR season.

Michigan, West Virginia, Stanford, and Auburn. Alabama might not be in the top 10. Florida St will finish in the top 10. Southern Miss and South Florida will make the top 25.

Hey goDAWG, how come you give credit for my work to DO? :pout:

Oh shit!

Sorry about that, all of you Sooners look alike you know. :becky:

If a mod could change that, I would appreciate it.
