Jeremy Allen White is quickly becoming one of the”those guys”… who I will watch whatever he’s doing.

I’m sure a Springsteen doc doesn’t do anything for a lot on here. Damn sure does for me.

I'll definitely catch this one. I was a huge fan back in the 70s and 80s.. sort of lost interest in his music after that. I only know White from Shameless which he was great in.. and he seems like a good fit for the role.

I like White (Shameless, Bear, Iron Claw), and respect Springsteen for his voice.

But I don’t expect to watch this. Both White and Springsteen are obnoxious “preachers” and there is absolutely zero chance that doesn’t show up in this doc.

That's kind of why I lost interest after.. actually it was even before Born In The USA. He ran out of good tunes.. as most popular music artists tend to do after a few releases and the lyrics were same old same old. He put on a hell of a live show though.

Once an artist reaches a certain level, it is hard for them to continue making bangers. Metallica hasn’t made a good song since the Black album (I could accept Justice as the true last good album). Whether that is because they blew their load or just because they have already established their fanbase, and the base is looking for another Cthulhu or Master, and nothing measures up to those songs (in the fan’s ears).

There are exceptions who don’t follow that pattern, of course (MJ, Elvis, Prince), but that pattern is pretty well set.
