Gotta give credit, SGA comes across like a 10 year veteran already, really solid dude, has the right mindset. He's kinda bland too but that could change

He is a 7 year vet (not far off), to be expected. Grizzled vet status lol.

The reason I say he isn’t overrated is because if you watched him since coming to Indy and even more since they acquired siakam, this is exactly who he is. A throwback pg who doesn’t care about scoring. Not a Brunson or Cade type of pg

That's another reason why he was voted overrated; people want to see big stats

That’s silly. He’s not overrated because that’s never been his game. Calling someone overrated because he doesn’t do something you want him to do is incredibly dumb. Is Jokic overrated because he doesn’t block shots like Wemby?

No, jokic is overrated because of fake and failed mathematic academics faking and making up stats. Come on you know this.

I didn't say it was a good reason. If people can't easily quantify something, they don't value it properly.

I get that.

I am not saying he has to score.

But he was literally invisible for 3 quarters.

If he isn’t scoring, he at least needs to be setting up teammates for high quality shots.

And he wasn’t doing that either.

People were on here calling him “the real MVP” after game 1.

So yeah, that makes him very overrated.

He is a good player that every team wants, not a great one though.

SGA is great.

LOL.

You never stop.

Yes, Daignault has been outcoached by Carlisle.

But everyone gets outcoached by Carlisle.

Absolute no to firing Daignault no matter what happens the rest of the way.
He does this to troll you and others. Don’t know why you take him seriously

The big difference between the two games IMO was Obi Toppin's 3 point shooting. 5-8 from 3 to 1-5 from 3. 14 pt swing from Obi in a 16 pt loss. Team went from 18-39 to 14-40 from 3, and that drop was Obi.

Anyone that was calling Haliburton the real mvp really needs to look inward on some things.

This is why he got voted most overrated.

He is a very good player and the table setter for a very good team.

But he isn’t the type of guy who can consistently produce against a top tier defense that is focused on him.

Pacer success is more built around the sum of the parts than it is the greatness of 1 or 2 guys.
We just saw him produce against a top tier defense focused on him in the Knicks series. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the defense. OKC’s defense is at another level.

Agree on what you said about Pacer team success though and how it’s established.

I disagree. Halliburton is a great player. So is SGA. They just have two different styles of play.

I think the big difference game 1 and game 2 was all about the Thunder. I think down the stretch they made uncharacteristic errors they don’t make often. I think we all agree the Thunder are the better team. If the Pacers win only some of it is what the Pacers do and most of it is what the Thunder didn’t do.

I came across this and I'm gonna leave it here. Is this a valid criticism or do you guys disagree?

Yes. The Finals should have the script logo painted on the floor. I'd also accept a giant trophy logo at center court. Not digital logos the network puts on either. I'm talking actually painted on

We’re saying the same thing lol. I just think anyone calling him overrated is because they expect him to be something he isn’t and never been. If they took him for what he is then he isn’t close to overrated

Also what troll on here called him the real mvp? Not anyone with a brain I would assume

The Knicks are not a top tier defense though.

Not in the playoffs anyway.

That Brunson/Townes combo too easy to exploit

Bill Simmons said the same thing I noticed with Caruso since the Denver series. He fouls his opponents on every possession and the refs turn a blind eye to it. Hand checking nonstop
