On no, one of the biggest Trump supporters (and openly bigoted) I kind of know (friend of a friend) just "randomly" lost his Federal job in a reduction in force.
I do feel bad because he has 3 kids and his wife is nice. Yet I dont because I know he was motivated by Trump's bigotry and vilification of immigrants. And I wonder if he feels all the other thousands who lost their jobs did so randomly. I bet not.

This Friday the IRS probationary employees (that were illegally let go) need to return-to-office this Friday (yes before the long weekend). I know many locations, including Las Vegas, do not have available cubicles.

The rumor is, they will be given the 60 (or 30) day notice of a RIF shortly after returning. When the treasury union was pretty much eliminated by executive order, the 12 month RIF notice went away.

I took the deferred resignation (DRP) and am enjoying my paid time off for another 4+ months.

The morale at the IRS is horrible and it won't be getting any better. Also, the loss of revenue will bite the government in the ass and only further increase deficit.
