It's crazy that the team posted this today. Just last night I was watching the season highlights and was thinking to myself, once Terry and Tress are gone, it might feel different.

The further we get away from Redskins, the more it feels like we were given an expansion team. I had never really thought this way before, but that was what I felt.

Don't get me wrong, I love this team and am as diehard as ever, but the uniforms, the logo, and not to mention the name, just have an expansion team feel to it, especially once Terry and Tress move on.

They have to bring the uniforms back, and maybe the logo as well.

Sheehan was checking the TV numbers and the attendance from last year as well as the season tickets sold this year and they are still down.

He contributed a lot of it to Synder fatigue but did mention the name and how he knows people personally who are having a hard time jumping back in with both feet because of the name.

I understand the name is gone, but giving people like myself the uniforms and logo back would go a long way.

If they have the opportunity to bring back the warrior chief emblem. Which is w/o a doubt the coolest logo in North American team sports. Very possibly the coolest on earth n likely the universe. How can they not?

86 the bullshit Commanders name in the process n rename them the Warriors.....done n done.

Perhaps that general "feeling" isn't coming from expansion vibes but mass maturity. I don't see expansion, I see transitioning from closed mindedness to enlightenment, woke if you will, a space where knowing better means you do better. We can debate what "better" means in the main, but Josh Harris et.al., have been afforded an opportunity that few ever get. Certainly it's uncomfortable, but only the reticent hold onto outdated norms and that's primarily because of fear of an uncertain future. The name "Commanders" certainly didn't help, but wasn't that a Snyder/ Rivera thing? Aren't they gone now?? So, what does it say to new ownership who so far is looking ahead instead of doing the easy more familiar, supposedly comfortable thing? He and his team don't inherit George Preston Marshall's branding. They don't inherit Jack Kent Cooks' or Dan Snyder's either to the degree that the aforementioned did. They literally have a clean slate, an opportunity to rebrand this organization in a manner that they deem fit and proper with their futuristic vision. He paid, 6.05 billion for this privilege but for far too many he doesn't deserve to rise or fall on his own merit because the old way was, what, good enough? So far they've done nothing to shake my confidence in the new way of doing things, I trust them no less, to get the new branding right, even if they decide to bring back the old in some closely familiar way. Until then, I support the Commanders who in their second year under that brand reached the NFCCG.

Btw; for those who still see them as an expansion team consider this.
In NFL history, only two teams have reached the conference championship game in their second year of existence: the Carolina Panthers and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both teams accomplished this feat in the 1996 season, their second season of play.
Give Harris and company their due roses , they've earned it and from my pov, time, to rebrand this organization. Right now they've got a lot on their plates and the brand is secondary to the market they exist in... Washington (DMV)

The name and logo means everything to me. I love the old uniform but it is not the biggest deal. The multi stripe sleeve from the Larry Brown is my favorite.

Most here know I am a big fan of Penn State but I have always liked Florida State is their logo and colors. When I see Chief Osceola ride the pony onto the field and toss the lance into the field I am ready to go play.

There is still no way the Commanders name does anything for me. This is Josh Harris one failure.

I'm not sure i even need the logo at this point, but I would love to turn on my TV on Sunday's and see some semblance of the team I grew up rooting for. I know it's not a big deal for some, but I've always been a uniform guy for some reason.

I had kinda stopped watching the Caps as closely as I did in the 80s when they went to the teal and black.

Redskins was an iconic brand. The uniforms and the logo were the best in the league imo. The name is gone and I'm okay with that. Maybe they wear them once or twice a year as a throwback. If they were to run out of the tunnel in the 91 unis, the reaction from the crowd would be crazy.
