It sucks when your cruising with your ace and then to have the bullpen let you down.
Bochy big mistake riding a reliever 3 days in a row
Scuse my French but he’s a fackin idiot. Why Armstrong 3 days in a row? Just dumb shit.

I would put in this lineup. This is based off who started earlier
Ss Smith
Cf Langford
Lf Carter
3B Jung
1B Burger
C Heim
Rf Garcia
Dh Peterson
2b Semian

Both Semian and Peterson have been so bad that is doesn't matter which one bats 8 or 9.
Bochy would never do this but I just wanted to throw it out there
Burger seems to hitting better but it's tough to put together a good lineup when most of the guys are struggling.

Mahle will have to shut Houston down as Blanco has been pitching very well lately.

You think his contract amount should demand he gets babied. I think the contract amount demands that he doesn't need to be babied.

You have to be careful with a often injured major talent like his to get as much as you can of what he offers, if you don't then you made a huge boneheaded $190M mistake. We were lucky when they dodged the Rendon contract and may be lucky they didn't sign Sasaki...

I just don't know if there is any evidence that his recent injuries were due to him being overworked.

I do think that signing deGrom for that much money will be looked at as being a boneheaded move, or at best, an unlucky one.

Starting pitching is phenomenal right now. Bullpen is ok but needs an arm or two (Jon Gray?)

But this offense is abysmal. Semien and Pederson are having career worst seasons. And Garcia tries to hit a HR every AB. Rangers aren't making the postseason with this offense. No team could.

We need Seager to be back ASAP. That really is our only hope because no more reinforcements are coming.

I like seeing that Bochy was getting upset in the dugout last night.
2 runs and 3 hits in the 2nd and then 1 hit in the 4th and 1 in the 9th. the offense quit after the 2nd, and it couldn't all be blamed on the Houston pitching. my brother and i sat there and watched our batters hit weak popup after popup or grounder. 1 out in the 4th a single next 2 batters could get the ball out of the infield and then nothing until the bottom of the 9th and Jung's wasted homer.

They played like that last season too.

like i said this team QUIT last night. it is time to make some moves. Garcia and Semien need to go now or at least by the trade deadline and bring up Osuna and play Smith, Foscue and maybe Cauley at 2nd. and then by July 31st we need to move Corbin and Mahle and start Bradford, Leiter and Rocker behind Eovaldi and de Grom with Gray who probably won't be ready until August serving as starter/reliever. and perhaps trading a package for Ryan Helsley RHP/Closer (with strength of package depending on if the Rangers can sign Helsley to a multiple year extension)

It’s going to be hard to move Semien with that contract unless the Rangers pay a major portion of it. I’m not taking Mahle out of the rotation, he has been lights out. He’s 4-1, with a 1.47 era.

Bench Semien when Seager gets back and Smith on 2nd.

Looking at his injury history you could just about bet he was going to have to have another TJ surgery and it just got put off until he got here...

Hopefully, he can at least be done with surgeries. I guess a reasonable goal would be for him to only have to miss 3 or 4 starts s year due to minor injuries.

I do wonder if he is going to get old in a hurry like Semien has. I am not sure he is going to be the same pitcher a year or two from now.
