ngl Ollie Gordon was one of the players that I thought was a great value right now.
He was actually my target when I traded down with you, and I’m pretty happy he was still there after I made the deal.

Biggest Ollie Gordon II fan on the planet. Had him in college fantasy and especially his soph year he was a stud for me. A lot of people down on him this year but there are a lot of things to consider.

Many games where Ollie didn't run for a lot of yards he didn't get a lot of carries. QB position was weak early on and they got down big in games. Towards the end of the year he looked like he was headed back into the previous years version only to be stomped by Colorado and only to get 6 carries in that game.

When Okie State played with a lead or close games he was good.. Games they were down in, he didn't rack up his yards.

He does struggle in pass protection and there are some immature issues he has to overcome but he is sorta the forgotten RB in a very deep RB class.

His OL also wasn't great this year and it wasn't even that good the year before when he won the Doak Walker award.

He has the upside in pass protection. Good size. Weirdly probably better than half the guys in the draft in that area and could be good there with some coaching.

Yes, I don't think the pass protection will haunt his draft stock by any means. He has the size, just needs to get better at it. Struggled at the SR bowl with it and really didn't have to do a lot of it in college.

Not expecting him to get to the Henderson level of pass protection but he needs to get a little better at it especially with his frame he should be able to.

I have seen mixed reviews about him from different places. It seems like people either love him or hate him. Maybe not that extreme, but still...

Well. I love him. ;)

I just think that people who are REALLY down on him haven't really factored a lot of things into why his numbers were what they were the year before. Which his numbers the year before were INSANE...

He still had a good season... Oklahoma State just wasn't/didn't use him the same.

They were down a lot more this year. Bowman passes a lot more this year and when he was out their backup QB couldn't throw the beach ball into an ocean... With all the attention on Gordon it was tough to expect a repeat when the repeat was a VERY high bar.

I considered taking David Walker in the second round and would have been happy with the value. My gamble he would fall to the 4th did not pay off it seems.

At the end of the season, the Steelers' DL was bereft of quality depth and old as hell. They blasted off some of the age/suck by getting rid of Ogunjobi, but only brought in some random scrub from (I think) the Pats so far. Double dipping in this deep class was pretty much a foregone for me. Robinson is basically tailor-made to play 5-tech. High intensity. Pretty strong tackler. Can stack/shed. Still runs hot enough as an interior rusher that sliding him inside on passing downs would be possible too.

Between he and Grant earlier, their rotation will be leaps and bounds better than the past couple years (particularly on early downs. They've been getting murdered vs. the run since Hargraves left), they should get way better vs. the run, and should have legit coverage for Heyward finally aging out.

Interior pressure is massively important in the modern NFL, and to Tomlin's preferred defensive scheme even moreso. Not having consistent demand of double in the center of the D allows teams to double/chip Watt on every play. Grant's presence should rectify that. Robinson should help keep Heyward fresher and push Benton at the 5 tech.

DL class is pretty deep and there were a few others I liked in a similar vein that may have lingered, but felt Robinson's attitude/motor was worth not risking the wait.

Through 4 rounds the Titans GM has nailed the needs even if his order of operations may have looked different than mine.

McCord is more my pick than predicting who the Rams want. However, 127 is probably their last chance to draft whomever they do want, as the next Rams picks are in the 6th.

Yeah same with Cleveland. I was debating two different positions but DT was a bigger need

I think McCord will go higher in the real draft. He is more well liked by scouts then "analyst" Really came on this year just don't watch the Pittsburgh game.

I was going to take Phillips for Miami. He doesn't get much rush but if you need a plugger he is your guy. Very strong.

It looks like I need to go out of town on Sunday and will be mostly unavailable for that entire week. I will attempt to get the picks in, but if I am holding things up anyone can make those for me.

How about if I haven't heard back from you after an hour we will go ahead and pick?

I think QB is the most unpredictable position after Ward going top 3. McCord will go late rd2 if I had to guess but I wouldn't be terribly surprised by rd4.

I think most of these QB’s will just bc why not. A lot of teams still need backups if anything. Like the Rams for example, they certainly think about drafting a guy at some point to sit and learn for the next year or two

Yeah Cleveland lost Tomlinson so they need that plug in the middle. It was a good fit
