Broncos agree to terms with TE Evan Engram, formerly of the Jaguars, on a two-year contract.

Been waiting for that one. I thought he would be our first signing. Wasn't he visiting when the "legal tampering" period started?

He was released so he could talk/sign anytime before free agent tampering period. He went on to visit the Chargers but we fended them off.

I like that it is a two year deal. Means we could still draft a tight end early, but we aren’t necessarily in dire need of doing it now. Tight End is a position that sucks to be forced to draft like we did Dulcich. We are in good position now to look at TE based on BPA.

I really think we like my guy Omarion Hampton. ;)

Focus more on the possibility of a Arroyo, Mason Taylor like TE in the draft and if they aren't there or we like another value position better we aren't in dire need. We have Engram for 2 years. Takes some pressure off of HAVING to draft a TE early but at the same time could grab our future TE that we really like if it makes sense with the draft flow. We really needed to add a TE in FA and in the draft, imo. This takes pressure off and leaves us more open minded with the draft.

Engram was outstanding in 2023 and hampered by injuries/JVille dumpster fire last year. Good signing and @Draft Crazy is right that this doesn't force Broncos hand in draft now.

Paton/Payton don't like to have positions they have to land in the draft as evidenced by the last two free agent periods. We do kinda still need a RB though............

Paton/Payton have really put their stamp on this team. RB has to be our top priority right now, followed by a slot wr. It’s too bad Jeudy ran himself out of town, because he would’ve been a monster with Bo

One of these should be our top pick. I actually like Henderson over Hampton, but I am never right on these things

Another solid upgrade, despite the injury risk. I think it would be smart to still draft a TE, but I like the idea of veteran because I think drafting a rookie RB is more likely to have an immediate impact than a rookie TE. This is shaping up to be a very complete roster.

Henderson or Judkins are my plan B to Hampton. However we have to make it work to make it make sense. Just get it done.

I love Judkins and an eyeball on the Virginia Tech back.

Tuten has the speed. Almost feel like if we take a RB like Smith, Tuten we need to draft two... As they bring the home run ability, we really need that do it all RB like Hampton, Henderson, Judkins, among many others in this draft.

I've talked to some people about this very thing of how much interest do the Broncos have in Hampton. They said the Broncos have been pretty silent and with this staff sometimes that is a sign they really love the player but they don't want people to catch on how much so they have told everyone to be completely silent on Hampton.

My main issue now is I'm not sure he makes it to pick 20. After the combine it sounds like his interviews went really well and with Jeanty now looking more and more like a top-10 pick you might see a team panic in the teens and take him. Seems like there is some real debate among teams of whether Jeanty or Hampton are the best RB in this class but there is a drop off to that next tier of RB's.

I get a vibe Denver likes Hampton too.

I just hope it happens. Hopefully NFL teams aren't reading the hoop!. ;)
