UGH!!!

These movies have to stop... maybe this will be good,.. but doubt it... making Spiderman movies without Spiderman in it, just feels weird...

this one maybe less so than the others... Venom, and Morbius, were very weird...

at least in the comics, Kraven made a name for himself before his hunt for Spiderman... so this could act as a prequel... even if Spiderman is never in the picture...

Yeah

I always thought kraven was poorly written

I think this could be really fun

It should end with him getting obsessed with Spider-Man and heading to NY

These Anti Hero movies are terrible. The only one that was a blockbuster hit was the Joker but everything since then has been a joke.

Both Venom movies have done well enough...

And Morbious was one of the greatest times ever on the Internet.

Venom at least is an actual anti-hero.

Morbius and Kraven are true villains. but their movies push them to more hero territory.

Give me a villain movie, like Joker, and you really have something. Don't make them something they are not.

FWIW, the new Spider-man video game coming out in September has Peter and Miles and seems to revolve around Kraven and Venom. It could end up being a better version of Spider-man 3 from what little Ive seen which might end up being fairly important for Spider-man fans.

Delayed a year to Friday, August 30, 2024 by actors strike (movie production is already done, but the studio wants the actors to be available for a press tour).

The trailer was cool n all, but the comic book Kraven was all about the ultimate hunt. The Kraven in the movie had a Tarzan on a whole lotta meth vibe.

Joker is one of the most ultimate villains

Even lex luthor has a lawyer worthy case to a certain extent (although most of the time it’s poorly written and freaking smallville explained it best)

Venom as Eddie Brock is very much closer to the joker class (though not to the extent of carnage) where as kraven has been an anti hero in the source material multiple times (other hosts like flash Thompson have been more antiheroish)

There’s a good story to tell about him. Imo

problem with lex luthor is that him being a villain was created by superman... without superman he would probably have not been a villain, maybe even a hero...

so it is hard to do a lex luthor movie without Supes...

you can do a joker movie without the bats

Making a Morbius and venom movie without spiderman was very off, as their origins had to change... venom is at least popular enough of a villain that it found moderate success as a movie( it is having 3 movies)

Kraven doesnt need spiderman, as he was already a big game hunter before spiderman... so at least his origin story SHOULD NOT include spiderman

thats why this one can actually work...

Kraven was also not a villain...

Personally, I think it's counterproductive and indicates desperation and a lack of faith in the movie to post this much of it to try to get people to go to the theater to watch it, but Sony has posted the first 8 minutes for viewing:

I find it very interesting that the TV spots I have seen for this movie never mention that it is a comic book movie or a Marvel property. They seem to be marketing it like a rebooted Rambo.

I think they are trying to avoid the Marvel malaise.

Those who know him will want to see him because of how it fits in the overall story. Those that don't won't be put off by "omg another one?!!"
