I cannot think that will last much longer with the quality of teams they will have.

But- I mean- none of the teams are leaving right away. I think even USC and UCLA have another couple years unless I am mistaken.

This season is the last one in the PAC for both. I think it's the same for the others that are leaving as well.

As for the P5 designation...I'm not sure how that works. Even is Stanford, Cal, Wazzu and Oregon St stay, they're not much, if any better than the MWC schools that would come in with a merger.

But I haven't come across anything about how a conference can lose that designation.

This week is the week every summer where my extended family all comes down to Sea Isle City. It just so happened that last night was the night we planned for us to have my mom, dad, sister and her kids, brother and his kids, etc…over for dinner. Got to watch the 14th no hitter in Phillies history with my old man. I also was with him for Kevin Millwood’s no hitter back in the early 2000s. What a great night!

I think it’s a given that this is the last year of the PAC being a power 5. One thing I haven’t seen discussed is penalties for leaving. Between those and the $420 million in revenue this season the 4 remaining schools are going to get a short term windfall for certain. I doubt the teams that are leaving will get a full share.

From what I understand, at least for USC and UCLA, there is no penalty for leaving because they waited for the GOR to expire. I assume it's the same for the others.

...and he left without a contract. These free agent RBs are really overestimating their worth on the market and strangely think that by holding their ground they'll get paid. The first guy to cave will get signed.

Well, he fits Indy better....the Saints really don't need him with Kamara and Williams. Not to mention the rookie Miller.

In todays game those numbers don’t mean much because of YAC. May not apply but we can’t go off that alone.
We'll be hearing a lot more about how great Jimmy G is from DJ now lol

Yeah I would wager he was several of those. Unless the Raiders have changed one thing is certain, he better be able to throw the long ball.

That 61 yard reception his first year in SF was TE Garrett Celek. Who? Yeah, not exactly known for YAC.

The 56 yarder in year 2 in SF? FB Kyle Juscyxk.

I could go on but I think you see the point here.

Yes the point is those numbers don’t mean anything without knowing how many were really deep throws. He will get his chance to throw some real bombs with the Raiders, we will see.
