That 4-44 regime fed the organization with prime draft picks that arguably should've netted more than 26-24. That's Rams/Jeff Fisher levels of accomplishment.

I can agree that their plan was to tank so no issue with what they did. Good call. But they fed the picks and a ton of cap room to the next regime who mostly wasted it. This regime received no extra picks (other than maybe mid or late round) and only one top 10 draft pick.

They also should not be lumped in with Farmer, Holmgren/Heckert, Policy/Clark any more than they should be lumped in with Paul Brown.

I wouldn't go that far. They are still somewhat attached to their recent predecessors until some level of real success is attained. Paul Brown is more legend than reality at this point in terms of current impact.
