Because I don't take notes......never mind in this instance my comments are not even a little outlandish.
Because I don’t do that. That’s your game.
Ever going to answer my question
Nope
(I say this realizing irrational people get spooked by direct questions)? Here it is again......is it your contention no team was willing to offer Watson more than his contract at the time called for to get him?

It's not like I've made some outlandish comments, though. There were a ton of teams who wanted the guy so it's certainly not crazy to think he received a couple equal offers and had to choose 1. For sure it's not crazy to think other teams offered to rip up his current deal and offer more. I noticed you would not answer whether you thought anyone did.

don't recall the plausible deniability angle used specifically but you are as guilty as most here about propping up your own team.

Guess you found some energy....a nap, perhaps, do the trick?

Never mind for some reason you still cannot come to grips the Browns do not struggle to land FAs nor do they have to spend more than others to bring them in.
No one else offered 100 % guaranteed, you can take that to the bank. Silly to think otherwise really.

Doesn’t matter to him because you don’t have discovery or exhibits that could be presented in a criminal case representing hard evidence. If you can’t prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, he says it never happened. It doesn’t matter that you me and TF12 have all drawn the same obvious conclusion for how this went down. He will just wear you down until you quit and he declares victory.

You actually don't know that but do you think anyone offered to rip up his deal and give him a new one?

Eh I really don’t care. You would have to look inside Cleveland to find anyone else that thinks there is any chance whatsoever that he had another fully guaranteed contract. No chance.

Oh, the irony again.

Since you have a couple on your side here maybe you can use a lifeline and see if one of them will answer the question you are scared to answer?

I'll ask another.....do you think the Browns have a harder time than other teams to bring in FAs they want and have to pay more in FA than others to get players? If yes, please provide evidence.

We did this before. I don’t answer your questions when you demand them it seems to really piss you off. Then you go off in like 5-6-7 successive posts posing the same question over again. I find it hilarious but then I eventually tire of it.

You think teams want their offer reported if not accepted

Doesn't matter if teams want it out or not. Stuff gets leaked all the time and those teams aren't the only ones who know what their final offer was.

Do you think no one offered him to improve on his original deal at all?

They may have. But based on what has been reported, the Browns were the only team willing to fully guarantee his deal.

I'm sure the teams who didn't get him who were in the running were pissed....because they didn't get him. The ones who had nothing to do with him were also likely pissed at the deal. Browns likely don't care and shouldn't care.

They were pissed because the Browns fully guaranteed his deal and unlike MLB and the NBA, NFL owners don't do fully guaranteed long term deal. Hence, the use of the word "unprecedented".

Never mind in general the Browns don't have trouble getting FAs they want and nothing points to them having to pay more than others to get FAs to come here.

Except, in Watsons case...that's exactly what they did. The Browns likely have a better shot at signing FA's than the Cavs or Guardians because NFL careers are shorter and the players don't make as much...so they have to go where they are offered the most financial security.

The Browns are the only team reported to have offered fully guaranteed. Seems you agree even though not reported someone might have offered more than his previous deal.....so you don't know how high someone was willing to go.

As I said I am certain many were pissed. But the Browns don't care nor should they.

Agree with last comment though IF the Tribe would spend they could attract players....they just wont spend.

Dude I don’t care. I just assumed everyone on the planet knew the only reason Watson signed with Cleveland though.

Cool....but if you believe other teams offered to rip up his deal (and I don't know if you do as you are for some reason scared to answer) you don't know how high they were willing to go.

to be fair, moving them does not harm them.

Either way, lesser players (so pretty much anyone) have gone for multiple prospects when facing FA after the season.

For lesser prospects. The reported price for Otani was a good current player and 3 top prospects.

less than you'd get if they had a full season before FA but could still get some good prospects for a stud/elite player.

The Angels are reported to think they have an excellent chance of keeping Ohtani.

If they can win a playoff series I don't see why not. They are demonstrating they are willing to sell their youth to help Ohtani now. No lock of course but as they have decided to go this way they have a shot.

I'm rooting for them now to win the AL because I want to see him in the playoffs and also that may keep him from becoming a Dodger.

To win the AL? They're currently 4 games out of the final wildcard spot.

He knows this. But this is what he does. He sets up a ridiculous standard that he knows full well can never be met so he can cling tightly to plausible deniability. When he gets like this he could see that the bird is no longer in its cage, a bunch of feathers gathered around the family dog, and claim that no one can prove the dog ate the bird because no one directly saw the dog eat the bird.

you said you had no energy and then come up with the best analogy ever
