yep..but hey, a year on the bench, learning your craft from a skilled vet and a (supposed) offensive genius? At least there's hope there. That dreaded word "potential"..., no QB in this class has the kind of potential that he has, but pure coin flip as to whether he ever realizes any of it, let alone all of it.

and 'hope' at the QB position is something us Raiders fans haven't dared to dream of since Carr's second year (for some, even further back to the first time Russel took a real snap-. hopeless since). With Carr we just accepted mediocrity because it was infinitely better than the Russel debacle

I think Richardson will need two years on the bench and then a few games before you even know what's there.

S2 score was 79% which is not great but better than Hooker 46% or Stroud 18%

NO way McD's passes on any of the big 4-5 QB's if they're available at 7..dude took Tim Tebow in the first round.
But I do like the ballsy call of Stroud falling out of the top 5!

Well what's not to like, other than he's only good to go about 2/3's of the time..if that.

Without a great D, he's no SB winning QB. just as well draft a kid who might be/might not be. The known is good, but good ain't good enough, need great, so gotta take those swings

Coming to the combine out of shape is a big red flag. I’d worry a lot about wasting an important pick.

That’s about where I’d be inclined to take him tbh. But you need to take an offensive skill position IMO.
