Became 1st player tagged . I felt we should
They won’t give up 2 1st rounders for himNon exclusive tag too, as reported by espn.
Ok Bears, Seahawks….. your move.
10 points to Skinsdad for calling it.Became 1st player tagged . I felt we should

They have give up 2 1st rounders , there is no flexibility there .They might give up one and another pick though.
I’d do a first and a day 2 pick in a heartbeat, or two future firsts.

Yep can be negotiated but I wouldn't give him up for crappy picksI dont think that’s correct. I believe the teams can also work out a trade.

nope the skins would have to sign him and trade him . for lesser compensationI dont think that’s correct. I believe the teams can also work out a trade.

no , we cant trade him while we have him tagged , technically he is still a FA , we have to sign him to a deal , and no a team like the bears can sign him then negotiate compensation other then giving up 2 1st rounders per CBA . we would have to sign him and then trade him which doesnt work because if he failed his physical with the new team we are stuck with the contractSo, yes. I was correct: the teams can negotiate a trade.

You guys are talking about two different things.I dont think that’s correct. I believe the teams can also work out a trade.
Did they place the exclusive or non exclusive which makes a big difference if he has to sign with us first to be tradedSty is more accurate in what he is saying and i wasnt explaining it correctly . as it stands now we cant trade him
- If you franchise tag a player, he becomes a free agent and cannot be traded. You can trade him after he signs his tender, but not before. Even after signing, he'll be playing with the franchise tag, so absolutely. It's just how it works. Franchising a player is kind of like declaring them an "unrestricted free agent" in other words.
Daron Payne has been tagged with the non-exclusive tag.Did they place the exclusive or non exclusive which makes a big difference if he has to sign with us first to be traded
