What does that mean? My post is garbage? I was joking.
Yes.

And even if I think you're joking, I still have to react, and defend missiles being thrown at Mitchell.

I was jokingly saying what critics and fans have convinced themselves about his defense. The being better without him is clearly a joke.

What would happen if Utah, Cleveland, and Minnesota all had better records than last year?

Great, now we have to sweep Phoenix or beat Milwaukee in Milwaukee with Giannis to make up for losing to Washington. Beating Memphis with Morant might make up for Washington, but then we’d need to beat the Bucks to make up for the Houston game.

We might want to start defending Embiid. Maybe.

Philadelphia might want to start boxing out.

Maybe.

Actually I hope they don't, if it results in them continuing to not win.

Fun fact: this season, we are 10–4 and games where are opponent does not have a 50+ points scorer.

I really wanted to be able to post in the other thread, after a win today.

Maybe the strategy is to let Embiid get 70, and let everyone else get 2.2 or less points?

If that was the strategy, they didn't execute.

Sports is interesting to me. I can accept losses by six or more much easier than losing by one. I know that it is worse to be far away, but whatever.

Some people have a similar view.

In general, I don't. But the quality of the opposition also matters.

Losing by 10 is worse than losing by 1, but losing to a bad team is worse than losing to a good team.

Unless you have a long losing streak to a team. Then that losing streak needs to end.

I thought that beating the Suns would make up for losing to the Knicks, but I’ve noticed that the Suns have lost a few games, too. Even though I expect them to be better once everyone’s healthy, I don’t think I can quite switch those in my mind.

And just so we don’t get an a hypothetical/rhetorical/academic argument, I’m not really being serious about trading games, if you beat a good team, that’s good. If you lose to a bad team, that’s bad. No game really makes up for the other. Your eventual record evens out to who you are. An exception would be if a star were injured, but that would be the current status of your team at that point anyway.

Tom the Turkey is at Memphis.

He takes over all of the timeout activities in the first quarter.

The Grizzly Bear is not happy.

Early in the 2nd quarter, a wolf comes out, body slams Tom.

The Grizzlies staff drag Tom's "dead" body off the court.

They then play a funeral song. It's not "taps", but something else that sounds like it.

@MHSL82, what's the name of other funeral songs? It's another instrumental song, with horns.

Maybe that was the Grizzly Bear. I thought there was a special mascot for this scene, and I thought they introduced a wolf.

I still don't know what his costume is paying homage to.
