It doesn't bother me. We aren't going to do anything serious this year. He was going to have to come out at some point to save the 2nd rounder. I'll be interested to see what the second opinion says.wow. he played the rest of the game with a fractured finger. another year another loss of QB1. Unbelievable.
TH Dec. and Jan. last year 4 TDs; 5 Ints for an average of about 160 yards. The team went 2-3.If Wentz can't go I'd give Heinicke a game. See if the o-line is really as bad as it looked with Wentz in there. At 2-4 you still kinda owe it to the rest of the locker room to play Heinicke.
If Heinicke has a bad game and we lose dropping us to 2-5, it's time to go to Howell.
He kept shaking it like it was numb, but when I saw the replay I said the same thing. If Ron goes straight to Howell he might get the side eye from some of the vets who still believe there is a season to be had.TH Dec. and Jan. last year 4 TDs; 5 Ints for an average of about 160 yards. I had a feeling Wentz might have broken a finger. Looked like when Dak got hurt except for Dak was the thumb.
I like the kid but he is limited. However you are correct, he knows the system so it will be interesting to see how much more he sees than Wentz does.He kept shaking it like it was numb, but when I saw the replay I said the same thing. I'm not a Heinicke guy in any way, but I think their is some information to be gained by going to him.
1. Is the line really as bad as we think?
2. Heinicke knows the offense like the back of his hand, so is Scott as bad as we or some think? @skinsdad62 posted Wentz missing wide open check downs.
I do want to see Howell at some point just to make sure we aren't burning a top 5 pick on a QB when we didn't have to.
I really hope they take their time with Chase as well.I like the kid but he is limited. However you are correct, he knows the system so it will be interesting to see how much more he sees than Wentz does.
The OLine was not so bad against Chicago. They got a few pressures but it wasn't out of hand.
I'd like to see Howell some of the season is lost. Might keep Chase on the shelf if the season is lost. Obada is playing some ball.
TH cannot make throws required in this offense. Play Howell. NONE of the three (Wentz, TH, RR) will be here next year. Howell may very well be here if he shows something regardless of how bad the Oline currently is.If Wentz can't go I'd give Heinicke a game.
