I understand he has no future with this team b/c of the drafting of Howell. Ther is not futrue for him here if Wentz does well. If Wentz gets hurt or plays bad and TH comes in an dominates, then that is the only way he stays on the roster in 23.

do i have to go over the list of 5th round drafted qbs who have failed to make it ? dean we dont know who this guy is or what he could or couldnt be . way to early for declarations .

right now if i am the commanders and wince does well i am looking to resign falco as the BU until howell (or whomever is ready )

There is no way they resign TH if Wentz does well. His FA salary demand would be too much for this team to handle b/c we have a lot of people that need to be extended or resigned. IF there was any confidence in TH Howell would have never been drafted.

Another thing to consider is 2022 was considered a weak QB draft class. Howell has to earn it. Heinicke at least has an NFL body of work now.

What’s with you ? Falco could be gone because he got a job as a starter . He went 7-9 vs a lot tougher teams the wince and with less talent

Then why draft Howell? If there is abundance of confidence in TH why draft Howell and why isn't QB1 an open competition? Translation is there is no confidence in TH. They didn't consider him a starter before we traded for Wentz.

Howell develops this year and makes a jump in Year 2. Simple. Why give 6m to a TH when he's already proved that he is not a starting QB in this league.

IF howell was drafted in the 2nd or even the third the expectation is that the team is grooming him to start in '23 or '24. If they fall flat on their face they will have a chance to draft a ready made qb in '23. TH ceiling is QB2 here as long as ron and scott are here. Once ron is gone i expect TH to be shown the door pretty quickly.

The new regime could want a new QB1. Yes. But why cut Howell? He is cheap and young.
