Ron Tugnutt and Fuck Arturs Irbe were both offer sheeted in 96. Both offers were so small no compensation was due, and neither team matched.

2) None of these guys even seem worth it? Necas is coming off a pretty shitty season considering he had fewer points than the season before while playing 25 more games, Dallas isn't letting Oettinger leave IDC if they haven't spoken much they aren't insane, teams don't offer sheet players just to fuck with opponents' cap situation (if they did Point and Marner would be making $15 mil each lol) so offer sheeting Sandin for anything more than what Liljegren got isn't happening and the Leafs will match, if you offer sheet an Islander Lou will literally fucking shoot you so good luck with Dobson, and none of the other names are really worth more than you can get by just trading with someone.

I am just relieved he managed to burp out that article without making Patrik Laine the #1 candidate.

Some Jackets fans want us to offer sheet Necas, which is odd because we need a center. And we'd probably be better off with a good one.

He has Slaf, Jiricek, Cooley. The reality is if Wright is at 2 I could see Devils and Seattle swapping picks. We're good with undersized centers.

There is no universe where Cooley is the better choice than Wright.

Like I said, Jarmo may offer up 12 and roster asset(s) for 2 if Wright is there. I would not be opposed to considering 6 and 12. Teams WILL throw assets at NJD for Wright.

I can’t see Montreal passing on setting themselves up down the middle for a decade after going decades without a true 1-2 punch at center. I think their fans would burn the place down otherwise.

After Slafkovsky he had Jiricek going 2 and Cooley going 3.
