Seems like keeping that squad intact would have been smarter.

Nah.

Easy to say that in hindsight, but the upside just wasn’t there for that group. 2nd round ceiling.

You don’t pass up the chance to get KD and Kyrie for that.

I agree but should have kept the leverts and allens of the world instead of trading for Harden

Yes. I agree with that.
And if Ben Simmons is in Houston he probably isn’t having these issues. Does that Brooklyn team get better making that deal as a three way?
Nets get Simmons
Sixers get Harden
Houston gets Maxey Thybulle Allen LaVert

That’s what Morey was apparently looking to put together and Houston refused to execute a deal with him because of their history. Houston is the tits with that core and the ability to trade LaVert.

It wasn't though. It was a throwaway tongue in cheek comment he had in a casual conversation like people would have with their friends or we'd have here. "Fuck Jalen Green" was said in the way of "fuck that, I'm not doing it" not "Fuck you Jalen Green".

Same injury as Wiseman....
Yep.
Bummer for both of them....but they're both still very young..and the prognosis is good for them.

Thankfully Wiseman has the added benefit of having the Dubs top notch medical & training staffs helping him along the way with his rehab and eventually to a full recovery.
And I understand they're taking it much slower with him than most of us would like....but in the end he should be at 100% and good to go by the time next season rolls around.

That's a lot of years and a lot of money for a guy who treats the NBA like a part-time job. I don't care how talented he is.

It'll be interesting to see if anyone is actually willing to give him that.

And the real crazy thing is that I don’t think the Nets can afford not to sign him to that deal.

Kyrie is part of the KD package. Unless they are ready to start over around Simmons, they need to extend Kyrie.

Hopefully for their sake, he will want a shorter term deal.
